The Football Player. ➳[H.G]

17. Game night

Before I knew it, it was Friday night.

Today Our school has a football game.

Originally, I was planning on staying home and watch rerun seasons of Friends. But Bea and Juliet wouldn't let me stay home. They said that it was going to be fun and stuff.

Juliet, Bea, and I have gotten pretty close I guess you can say. I'm over about what happened on Tuesday after school. Juliet doesn't even know about what happened between Hayes and I.

Plus it's not her fault. She's been talking about him non-stop though. I think they'll make a cute couple even though it will kill me if they ever go out.

Since the fight Hayes and I had, he hasn't called or even tried talking to me. And honestly I'm okay with it. I guess it hurts. Like a lot, but it's process of moving on.

"OMG!!! I can't wait to see Hayes play in the field." Exclaimed Juliet from the passenger seat as I parked the car.

I chuckled, "I bet. Bea and Jack should be here already. I think they saved us a spot too."

She nodded and took off her seatbelt as I did too.

"I'll see you inside, I'm going to the bathroom." I said as I locked the car.

"Okay! & buy some snacks." She handed me a 10 dollar bill, and I nodded.

I walked inside the stadium and went to look for a restroom.

I've never been here before, Like i haven't been to a football game. It's not my thing, so I never bothered to show up to games.

Reading the signs, I find the restroom.

After I finish watching my hands, I was about to head out when I heard the familiar voice.

"Dude. I hope she's here."

"Man, she barley comes to games. What makes you think she's coming to this one?" Another voice said.

"I don't know, I practically beg her friend, Bea to get her to show up."

So that's why Bea kept begging me to come.

A different voice laughs, "dude, just stay positive, who knows she might turn up."

I could hear their voices faint. And I waited a little bit so I can walk out.

Deciding that is safe enough to walk out, I did and headed towards the snack stand.

'LET'S GO SPARTANS LET'S GO'

Hayes has the ball. He's running and other players are tackling each.

Before we knew he makes the finale touch down. Meaning they've won the game.

Everybody is yelling and screaming. People are running towards him and surrounding him and yelling his name.

He's being carried on top of people's shoulders and yelling. He's smiling and pomping his fist in the air.

By now, I'm probably the only one still sitting on the bleachers observing Hayes reaction.

For a moment our eyes locked, and he smiled at me.

I looked away.

Walking towards my car, some random guy put his hands in the air for me to give him a high five. Gradually, I high-fived him and laughed after he screamed "YEAAA!!!"

Opening the car door, I was greeted by a happy Juliet, followed by Bea and Jack.

"HAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! You've gotta come to the after party!!" Exclaimed Juliet.

Sighing I said, "I'm sorry, but I'm tired, I think I'm just going to go home and sleep you know?" I asked hoping she'll drop it and let me go home.

"C'mon don't be a debbie downer." Pouted Bea.

"Yea no one likes a debbie downer." Added Jack.

"Oh, well I guess you don't like me then." I tried holding back the laugh.

"Oh come on!! Please!!! It's Friday. Let loose. Turn up!!!" Juliet said.

Laughing at her use of words, "I don't know." I drifted off.

"PLEASE. PLEASE. PLASEEEE!!" Bea and Juliet were begging. While Jack was waiting for my answer with a huge grin.

"Fine, but you guys gotta take me to starbucks every morning for a whole week!" I stated.

"Yesss!!!" They all exclaimed and involved me into a group hug.

Laughing, I got in my car with Juliet, while Bea and Jack got in his car.
