WILL
Nico sleeps fairly soundly, meaning I'm able to get some work done whilst keeping check on him. I move my chair over to his bed, and sit with my legs up on the bed, while sorting through the folders of the kids at camp half blood, seeing who's due for a checkup.
Jason comes in a bit later, walking up to me, infuriatingly smug.
'You come to gloat?' I ask quietly, making sure I don't wake Nico up.
'I'm too classy for that.' He says, but looking as though he'd very much like to gloat, 'I'm glad you two are okay now.'
'Me too.' I say, reluctantly, 'thanks for making us talk.'
'I get my incredible relationship brain from Piper.' He says, 'if she were here you guys would be married with three kids on the way by now.'
'Not quite sure we're at that stage as of yet.' I say, laughing, 'but seriously, thank you.'
'Of course.' He says.
'So, was there something I could help with? Or did you really just come to gloat?' I ask, putting my notes down.
'Yes, actually. Um, I don't want to wake him, but I was wondering whether you knew what Nico needed from me?' He asks, 'I would have asked him earlier but he didn't bring it up and there were...more urgent matters.'
'Sorry, I have no idea what you're talking about.' I say, confused, 'Nico needed you for something?'
'That's what it said in his letter.' He says, taking out a crumpled letter from his pocket, 'said he needed me to come back without Piper, wouldn't tell me why, but made me swear not to tell Piper the real reason I was going. I figured Nico wouldn't make a scene like that unless it was serious.'
'Yeah, no he wouldn't.' I say, taking the letter from him, 'um, actually, maybe I shouldn't read it. If he didn't tell me about it...I don't want to invade his privacy.' I hand it back.
'Sure.' He says, taking it, 'would you mind telling him to find me when he wakes up? Or just say I was looking for him.'
'Of course.' I say, 'I'll let him know.'
'Thanks.' He says, and heads off.
I watch Nico sleeping, wondering what was so urgent he needed Jason to come back.
