constantly over at the house, jade didn't mind. she found much joy in emma and brandon than anything else.
the past week was good to her.jade knocked on the front door of the arreaga house, brandon looked exhausted.
"hey, you okay?" her smile dropped.
"come in." he said."you know, not everything is so picture perfect. lynn and i argued today, she took emma to work."
"brandon i'm sorry."
"you know when you asked me about that spark last week?" she nodded.
"i think we lost it a while ago." he continued."brandon what were you guys arguing about?"
she wrapped her arms around him.
"her job and she had hickeys on her neck."
"oh, brandon i'm sorry."
he looked over at jade and shook his head,
"i just want to know what was there that i couldn't do?"jade looked up at him and smiled,
"you've probably done so many things that i don't know to show her that you love her. if she can't see it brandon, then she doesn't deserve you."
"more wine?" he asked getting up, taking her hand.taking out two a wine glasses, brandon smiled to himself.
"actually change of plan." he said taking out two shot glasses instead.
"you sure? you don't have to drown your sorrows away."
"i'm very sure, there's no other person i'd do this with." he said while taking out the liquor.jade watched his every move before he walked up to her, sliding her a shot glass.
"ever drank latrell?"
"maybe, would you tell a cop that though?" she laughed.they down their first tequila shot together and brandon had started to loosen up.
"you know, my wife had cheated on me multiple times." he laughed.
"why didn't you just leave her?"
he downed another shot, taking jade's hand in his."never met anyone to sit down and talk like this. until you." he smiled.
"brandon, please.""you run through my head, ever since i met you. i felt this connection between us jade.
tell me you don't feel that."
"you have a wife." she pointed out.
"tell me you don't feel anything between us." brandon said, twirling jade around and wrapping his arms around her waist."you have a wife." she repeated.
he snaked her around to face him,
"don't you have a boyfriend back home?"
brandon said, his hands went lower below her waist.
"mhm." she wiped a piece of hair away from brandon's face."so then why can't we do this, we have people that don't give two fucks about us."
brandon went for it.
"we are ten years apart. please, mr. arreaga."
"age is just a number, one you're nineteen. two don't you find interest in me."
his last sentence caused jade to laugh a little bit."look, you can tell me you don't feel anything towards me and i can stop."
brandon said and jade stayed quiet,
"then let's carry on." he said once again and she smiled.their lips connected slowly, jade hesitated many times but she was sure if this.
very sure.
brandon was very fond of jade, ready to do anything she wanted.
he found closure in her instead of making amends with his wife.jade unbottoned brandon's shirt and pulled it off.
"slow down." brandon laughed.
"shut up, you wanted this? i'll give it to you, eventually."
brandon groaned at her last sentence, he had been impatient.jade pulled off her top and slid on brandon's shirt, he giggled.
"cute." he kissed her forehead.
"if we're going to do this, let's take it slow."
jade rubbed his arm.
"how slow?" he raised his eyebrow and she slapped his chest."stop doing that!" she teased, smiling.
"what am i doing?"
"you're being cute and doing that stupid eyebrow raise. you do it all the time even when you don't know you're doing it." she said.
"oh, you think i'm cute." he teased, getting cocky."i am not afraid to punch you in the face."
she pecked his lips.
they downed another shot together, it was very hard for them to be serious.earning occasional giggles and laughs every so often.
"jay, can we go to your house? i-uhm don't want to be here, when she comes back."
"want me to bring the alcohol?"
he interlocked their hands into each other's, "no it's okay."going back to jade's apartment, the two laid in her bed. they laid in her bed and sat there, just sobering up. yet they all say, a drunken man's words are speaking the truth.
lauren slipped off her jeans and was now only wearing brandon's button up, a bra and panties.
"you look so beautiful in my clothes." he turned to face her."you would look beautiful... nope i'm keeping this pg for now." her finger trailed on his chest.
brandon looked down at the woman next to him, though very young she was special to brandon.
it was scaring him how much he cared and almost loved this girl, more than he did for his wife.she pecked his lips, soon falling asleep in his embrace. brandon admired her features as he began to overthink. lately he had been overthinking a lot, this scared him at the thought how someone he had just met can just come in and change his life.
