maybe it was better for jade.
she was just starting her career and no distractions were probably better.
jade had only been going out of her house whenever she had shoots, in the past two days she had only left her house three times.

there were many tears, those past two days. jade wasn't in contact with anyone and if she was, she didn't speak.
jade walked into her kitchen and looked up at the window that faced brandon's house.
it made her heart cry, she missed both brandon and emma so much.

there was someone knocking at the door and her face lit up, she fixed her hair whilst running over to the front door.
she opened it with a smile but then her smile dropped, "come in." she moped.
"damn, no smile for me." austin joked, hugging her.

"what are you doing here?" her tone was blank.
"i came to check on you and maybe we could hangout."
her eyebrows furrowed, "we as in?"
nick came into view and waved slightly, he had a faint grin on his face.
"of course, let me get ready and you guys can come in."

she went upstairs to change while the boys sat on the couch. the one time jade had a female best friend, she turned her back and was completely fake to her. jade shook her head to get those thoughts out of her mind, finally picking a black bodycon dress with some white converse and a jean jacket.

going back downstairs to ask the boys how she looked, "do a little spin." austin suggested.
she did a little twirl and the boys did little claps, "perfect." nick said.
"where are we going?" she asked.
the boys didn't reply only motioning for her to follow them.

nick let her take the passenger seat and he took the back seat, he knew that every time she was sat in the back seat she'd immediately get car sick. after a few minutes passed by, they pulled to a shopping center.
"oh cmon guys, i don't want you guys to spend a penny on me."
"oh well, we did this for you." nick smiled.

they all got out of the car and jade put on her shades, hoping today would be a normal day for her and no fans would come up to her asking about brandon. jade tried on plenty of dresses and jeans, she loved getting dressed up.

as jade was busy shopping the two boys sat down somewhere in the store, "why can't you just tell her? austin asked.
nick shook his head, "she just got broken up with man. i don't want to put her in another relationship after that."
austin scoffed and stood up, "well you're gonna have to do something because your little crush is not so little. i have to go and pay for her stuff i'll be right back."

what if i bought her a necklace or a ring?

the necklaces and rings brandon bought her were a symbolism of their love, what about a symbolism to herself?

nick's face lit up and he got up leaving the store, going to the nearest jewelry shop in the mall. austin and jade had finally finished paying after arguing who'd be the one paying with their credit cards in front of the cashier.
"so any plans tonight?" austin asked her.
"not really, just a netflix binge."

the two walked out of the store holding two bags full of clothes, jade stopped in her tracks.
"where's nick?"
"i actually don't know but i'll text him."
she nodded, the two walked around the mall jus browsing through every store.
jade's eyes widened as she had spotted brandon three stores down from where they were, "turn around turn around." she sing-songed in a panicked tone.

the two turned around and nick was standing there with a smile. he handed jade a pandora bag, her panicked face relaxed into a grin.
"no, no. i can't accept this." she peeped into the bag, nick nodded insisting that she'd open it.
"jade it's a gift from me, you have to accept it."
she pulled out two boxes deciding to open the bigger one first, there laid a necklace of her name and there was a green jade colored jewel in the middle.

"oh my god." she said to herself.
she gently handed the necklace to nick so he could put it on. the necklace hit her collarbone and she touched it lightly, happy about the gift she had gotten.
"now the second one!" nick cheered, handing her the second box.
beautiful matching earrings came into view as nick opened the box, they were dangly earrings with the same jewels as the necklace.

"thank you so much nick!" she engulfed him in a hug. he was taken by surprise but accepted the hug anyways, giving a thumbs up to austin.
