the sun had made itself prominent through the blinds, waking jade up.
looking around, she was in brandon's bed with emma right by her side.
she remembered dropping zion back over at his house, smiling to herself at the thought of him.

"morning." brandon scared her as he came out of his bathroom only with a towel hanging dangerously low on his waist.
"brandon, you can't get too comfortable with me around the house."
he walked over and sat on the bed, putting his hand on her knee.

"look, i know that morning was fucked up. i was hungover and most likely still drunk, i was going through it. i'm sorry, please. jade can you give me a second chance, i promise i'll make it up to you."
"i'll think about it b."
she got up and walked towards the bedroom door, brandon grabbed her wrist turning her around to face him.

he gave her a weak smile and she turned the other way, leaving the room.
brandon was puzzled but yet she had another guy on her mind, who was waiting on her.
it was almost too hard for jade to be between the two, only meeting zion the day before.

as jade made her way to her lonely home, she pulled out her phone and pressed on zion's contact.

zion chuckled and pushed jade away from him,
she skid across the ice rink.
"this reminds me of home." he said.
skating back over to him, zion caught jade in his arms. they burst into a fit of laughter, zion never took his eyes off of jade. he had felt something with jade that he'd never felt before and seemed to like it, the only girl he couldn't scare away with his awkwardness.

"you're from canada if i remember correctly?"
jade said with a little laugh.
"yeah, you remembered!"
jade crossed her arms and skated in a circle,
"you remember where i'm from?"

zion grabbed her hands and pulled her towards him, she shrieked as zion wrapped his arms around her.

"montana, cutie."
jade felt the blood rushing to her cheeks and looked away with a smile on her face, to hide it from zion.

he put his thumb on her chin and chuckled,
"hey, look at me."
jade shook her head and smiled even bigger once making eye contact with zion.

she was only supposed to be hanging out with zion to get her mind off of work and brandon, she felt safe and secure.
zion was a total different vibe to jade than brandon, it just wasn't fair to brandon.

he gave his marriage up for jade and for her to just disregard what he's done.
yet it's also his fault for seeking closure in jade.
it hurt jade thinking about and being around the arreaga family, which was why she had gone ice skating with zion.

"whatcha thinking about?" zion said, waving his hand in front of her face.
jade hugged him taking him by surprise, yet he still hugged back.
"thank you." she whispered.
