"jesus christ em." brandon said as emma splattered paint all over the canvas.
jade snapped some pictures as the small family tried to make portraits.
"i love you." jade said as she wiped some paint onto brandon's cheek.
"oh no you didn't," brandon grabbed jade's face with paint covered hands.
emma put some on brandon, leading to a paint fight.

"get daddy, get daddy!" emma yelled, grabbing jade's hand as she ran away.
"i'm coming to get you!" brandon ran towards then with his arms opened wide.
the two girls ran away but were too slow for the brandon arreaga.
they screamed as they got more paint on them and brandon put them down.
"okay, okay. we should get cleaned up."

brandon carried emma, taking her to the bath.
jade followed but going into emma's room picking out an outfit.
she walked out of emma's room and into the kitchen, deciding to make some tacos.
she grabbed her phone and blasted some jhené aiko while getting dinner ready.

she grabbed her ingredients and turned on the stove, moving her hips to the music.
as she cooked, emma's little giggles were heard.
her heart warmed to the sound of it.
as it came closer, she figured brandon and emma were messing around.

from the beginning jade knew how much brandon loved emma, she didn't want to be the one to make anything different.
it wasn't different, it was better.
jade heard emma screech then turned around to see her on brandon's shoulders.

"hi mama! look i'm tall!"
"oh you sure are!" jade cooed, walking up to the two.
she pecked brandon on the lips as emma faked gagged, he put emma down as jade went back to cooking.
"my love." he whispered.
his arms wrapped around her waist and he sang in her ear, she loved listening to him sing.

he left small kisses on her cheek then going down to her neck, "i am in love with you."
the smile on her face grew but jade kept on cooking.
"you can wait b." she cooed.
"wait for what? i'm just showing you that i love you and i will never fuck things up again."

jade finished up dinner with brandon's help, the two calling for emma to come to the dinner table.
"tacos, tacos." emma sang.
jade nodded helping emma assemble her tacos, putting in everything em asked for.

the doorbell rang and jade put emma's plate down, "i'll get it."
she did a little scurry to the door, opening it as lynn came to view.
"oh, hi!" jade greeted her with a hug.
lynn did the same, smiling at her new friend.

"i was just going to stop by and say hi, maybe head out to the mall."
jade pulled away from the hug, "you can join for dinner i think i over did the tacos."
she let out a chuckle as lynn walked into her old home.

as the two walked up to the dining table, brandon's eyes rolled and jade smacked his head. he gave her a glare as lynn sat down next to emma, "hi lynn." he said blankly.
"i hope you don't mind." jade whispered.

the night fell and conversations between the three adults continued, it made jade smile at the fact that brandon can be somewhat civil with lynn.
"everything has been a little rocky but now i can work with jade." lynn brightened the conversation.

"i heard they might be giving us a project together soon." jade said as she sipped her glass of wine.
to jade, everything felt normal for once.
