lynn pulled brandon in for a kiss, he tried to push her off the best he could.
she pulled away, "i thought you loved me b."
brandon scoffed, walking away.

"i would never ever love you. you never showed me love, sleeping with other men while your husband is waiting for you isn't love."
he said coldly.
"well-"
"no get the fuck out of my house, now!" he raised his voice, giving her a slight push towards the door.

he could hear emma's cries from afar and the guilt started to settle in on him.
"em? where are you? i'm sorry, i didn't mean to yell and scare you."
emma ignored brandon, continuing to cry.

he walked upstairs to ask jade to help him, but the bedroom was empty.
he searched the entire upstairs and nothing.
"em? where's your mommy?" brandon called out.

"i don't know." he heard her little voice say.
he figured emma was hiding in the back room, in her little hiding spot for hide and seek.
"em, lets go to your mom's house." he picked her up and walked next door to jade's.

he rang the doorbell and nick's face cracked through the door.
"what are you doing here?" brandon scoffed.
"she called me over because she was crying, i think you should give her some space."
"can emma see her?" brandon said, putting her down.

"she wants to be alone brandon, what do you not get about that? you probably don't know what you did but think about what you did."
nick explained.
"why would she call you, you guys aren't even close."
"i'm her friend."
"and i'm her boyfriend so i have to see her."
this time brandon was getting furious and spoke through his gritted teeth.

"i'm sorry." nick said, closing the door.
as nick closed the door, he looked back at jade.
she shook her head and sighed, sitting on the ground.

"what are you going back home for?" he tried changing the subject.
nick walked over and sat next to her, hoping this would help her calm down.

"my mom's birthday is in a few days, so i'm going back to celebrate it with her and my family. it's good to visit sometimes you know."
"yeah, i do the same since my family lives all the way in new jersey." he smiled.
they sat in silence for a little as jade stared off into space, then nick interrupted her thoughts again.

"hey, what ever happened to that zion kid?"
"uhm, him and i don't talk anymore but he hates me nick." she cried.
nick's eyes widened as she started to cry again, he wrapped his arms around her.

"i'm sorry, i'm so sorry. i didn't mean to make you cry jade." he panicked.
"n-no it's okay, i'm just stupid."
he wiped away her tears, pulling out his phone.

"let's book those plane tickets and hotel rooms, please don't cry. i don't like it when girls cry in front of me because it makes me feel hurt or guilty-"
"nick, stop it. i'm okay." she sniffled.
the two smiled at each other then looked back at nick's phone.
