"nick i can't do it, i can't tell him." she cried out.
"jade it's not that bad, the longer you keep it from him it's going to hurt."
"jade look, we've known brandon for a long time. for his wife to be cheating on him multiple times, he's hurt from that. you have to tell him." austin butted in.

jade glared at nick, "you told him?"
nick shrugged and leaned on the wall, "i know you're not going to listen to me so i told him."
just as nick finished his sentence, brandon walked into the living room.
"tell him what?" he asked.

nick gave jade a look as austin cleared his throat, brandon greeted jade with a kiss on the cheek.
"where's emma?" he asked.
"i'll get her, she's in her playroom." jade quickly said, going down the hall.

she saw emma playing with her dolls and playing music off of her ipad.
"hey em, daddy was looking for you."
her attention was brought to jade and her face dropped.
"oh no! i was supposed to not be dis-distres-"
"distracted?" jade smiled.
"yeah that's the word."
jade held her hand out towards emma, "cmon your uncle nick and austin are here too."

emma was so excited, she was almost running to the living room.
"hey you little monster!" austin said, holding his arms out for emma.
jade watched in awe, brandon's attention turned to jade. the look in his eyes were way different than how he looked at lynn, he fell in love with jade.

"so." nick trailed off, pointing his head towards brandon while looking at jade.
"b, i need to-" the sound of the doorbell cut her off.
she went to go see who was at the door and jade wasn't very thrilled.

"zion? what are you doing here!" she lowered her voice down so everyone else wouldn't hear her. jade looked back and brandon was on his phone while nick's eyes were trailing on her.
he's at the door she mouthed to nick.

"jade look, i really need to talk to you." zion interrupted her again.
she stepped out of the house and closed the door behind her, "you have five minutes."

"look i'm sorry, i know i messed things up with you. i'm sorry that i went off on you about being with brandon when i shouldn't have interfered with your relationship, i just want us to go back to being friends. is that cool?"
jade hugged him, "awe z."
he embraced her hug and smiled to himself, even though she was a bit shorter than him.
"okay, i gotta go. bye." her pearly white smile flashed, then was soon gone.

"who was at the door, baby?" brandon asked.
"just the neighbors." she lied, wrapping her arms around him.
he pulled her onto him and she put her head on his chest, "what was it that you needed to tell me?"
"no it's nothing, don't worry." their lips interlocked but then soon parted once jade put her head back down. emma ran up to brandon and whispered in his ear.

"i can't your mommy is tired." he poorly whispered.
"please, please, please."
"fine." he got up slowly, trying not to wake jade.
emma grabbed brandon's keys off the coffee ta me as they headed out, leaving austin and nick with jade.

"how long did you pretend to sleep." nick loudly laughed.
she sat up, "you noticed?"
"literally i noticed it, too. you're not that smooth jade." austin laughed.
nick scooted closer to jade, "what'd he say to you?"

she looked down letting out a sigh as she fiddled with her two necklaces.
nick repeated himself this time with a more serious tone and jade sighed.
"he said he was sorry for going off on me and that he just wanted to be friends." she blurted.
"friends don't kiss, j." austin pointed out.
shaking her head, she stood up pulling at her hair.

"this is driving me crazy."
nick sighed, "you can't start and base a relationship off of lies. i'm just telling ya, jade."
