ansley and jade has disappeared somewhere in austin's house leaving nick to go socialize with his friends or in other words his friends and brandon. he was on the couch, eyes glued to his phone. bothering jade, texting her and asking her where she was.

nick loved being around his friends but he didn't like the idea of jade drinking and not knowing where she was.
he trusted her but also wanted to be sure that she was okay. nick had decided to take a couple of shots with the boys, so he could calm his nerves.

"aye nicky boy, i'm glad you're here." austin smiled.
"you know just had to and keep my girl happy."
he chuckled.

brandon didn't like nick calling jade his girl, it got on his nerves.
he watched from afar as he kept a look out for jade, hoping to get a word with her.
brandon's jaw clenched as he saw nick dabbing up his friends, hearing jade from down the hall.
he walked over and knocked on the door, seeing ansley and jade just goofing around.

"hey, uhm ans do you think jade and i can talk alone for a second."
"oh yea, of course but don't try anything fuckhead." she shot him a glare.
brandon walked into the room and sat on the bed next to jade, who looked very astonished that brandon had wanted to talk to her.

"why can't you love me back?" his voice broke, he wasn't looking at her.
"you let me go, you told to get out and leave."
"please don't let me go, i couldn't believe what lynn told me but letting you go was the hardest thing i've ever had to do. if i could go back and stop myself from letting you go, i would've jade i swear." he scooted closet to her grabbing her
hand.

jade shook her head, "brandon you're too late on this. i'm happy with nick, can't you see that?"
"you were happy with me, too." he muttered.
"i'm trying to make nick and i work, he's a very very good guy. brandon, i need you to let me go."

brandon was taken aback by her words, not expecting her to say anything like this.
he hoped that she'd be saying the opposite.
"don't you see that i'm trying? i can't when you're everything i've ever wanted. i can't when emma is crying to me at night hoping you'd come back. i can't when you're the woman i fell in love with."

she felt terrible, not wanting to get his hopes up.
"you deserve so much better." she choked out.
"you're what i deserve, nothing and nobody else jade."

to jade, brandon was a different story. he had helped her when things flopped, but she'd also jump straight to conclusions which was a factor to their breakups but he was special. their connection was deep, emotionally.
she'd remember the nights he'd come home from work and they just sipped wine discussing their old lives and what had fucked with their lives.

"you're really not letting me go, huh?" she joked.
"never in a million years would i ever let you go." he looked over at her.
jade tried not to make eye contact with him, knowing she'd be too quick to give in.
"i'm in love with nick, i love nick. i am sorry brandon." she quickly left the room, leaving him stunned.

as jade walked out of the room, she made eye contact with ansley giving her a tiny grin reassuring that she was okay. walking into the living room, the guys had gotten a little drunk.
nick, of course, was dancing in the middle of the group of friends.
jade chuckled before walking over to join him, he was surprised but his hands landed on her waist as the two moved to the beat of the music.

"i know that you were with brandon."
he mumbled into her neck but it was still audible.
"we only talked, ansley was outside the door."
"calm down, baby. i didn't say anything was wrong with it." he said softly, placing a kiss on her lips.

she could practically taste the booze on his lips, he had been drinking a lot.
"you, maybe want to take a seat?" jade asked.
"no, no we're good here." he pulled her closer, almost tripping on his own foot.
"jesus, okay how about you go take a break and i'll grab some water."
jade sat him down on a chair then went to the kitchen looking for water.

she had taken two more shots, just for good measures knowing that she would be needing it. jade took a sharp turn to the fridge, immediately gasping.
jade felt ice cold just all over her and her clothes, she looked up at brandon.
"you're fucking kidding me?" she groaned.
"no, i think you just walked into me."

jade rolled her eyes, giving him a glare then running to the bathroom.
she tried to wipe off or get the alcohol off of her clothes, brandon followed her into the bathroom closing the door behind him.
"really, vodka brandon?" she exclaimed.
"i like stronger alcohol."

"i don't like you being so fucking-"
as she was getting up all in his face, he wrapped one hand in her waist and the other cupped her cheek. jade's breath hitched and stood there stunned.

"so fucking what jade? use your words."
"fucking arrog-"
he cut her off by interlocking his lips with hers, taking her by surprise but what surprised him is that she was kissing back. brandon lifted her and sat her on the counter, not breaking the kiss.

jade's lips moved down to brandon's neck, he was taken by surprise. she'd never been like this before, he pulled away making her groan.
"uh, uh. this is going to be messy if that happens."

jade giggled at his response, her cheeks visibly red from drinking.
"let it happen." she said into his ear, obviously needy.
