Jess' POV
I woke up in Adam's hard bed with a crick in my neck.
Note to self, make him sleep at my place exclusively.
I only smiled to myself seeing just how well it was going after just one day.
I realized that I was right for falling in love with Adam.
His smiles and laughed and pouts and just him being happy was way better then anything this world could offer.
I would never understand how my brother could see that for eighteen plus years and not fall in love.
But I'm glad he didn't.
I instantly pulled out my phone texting him a little 'good morning sunshine' just to see what kind of reaction I would get.
Almost instantly I was met with a simple 'morning' and even if it was slight it was still enough. For me that is.

Adam's POV
What am I thinking?
I think as I slowly deleted the text.
He wouldn't care if I had tomorrow off. He wouldn't want to go out again.
I thought until a text came through.
Are you free tomorrow?
I felt my heart flutter at the thought and instantly laid my head on my desk.
I shoot back a no and wait for a reply.
How about dinner I know a really nice restaurant.
Um I hate going to fancy places. I always get the same thing then panic when they ask how I want my burger.
Fine where would you like to go?
Lets just by a whole lot of food and watch Netflix at my place.
Oh Netflix and chilling are we?
More like Netflix in chilling five feet apart.
That would be fine. I'll pick you up at 2.
Ok.
I stared at my screen hoping he would text back even though there was no reason too.
I felt both a mixture of dumb and happy.
Maybe if I could just like him. He would like me and we could be happy.
What was the point of still going for Jack? He was married now.
I just wanted to be happy.

I woke up around 3 from my food coma to see that Jess was still at my side sorning slightly and holding a deathgrip on a slice of pizza.
I only smiled.
I wonder did Jack ever do these things, because this was way better then a date.
I felt stuffy and was ready to drink pepto by the gallon but I only began to clean up.
"Hey Jess." I shook him slightly only for his blue eyes to open and him to smile.
"Hi." He whispered and I only smiled.
"Hi." I replied only for him to kiss me deeply.
Maybe I was using him as a substitute, or maybe I was just trying to get over my heart breaking.
