I met my husband at a bar. Six years ago. And the first time he smiled at me I knew I loved him.
I had never felt seen before, and here I was with the most beautiful soul laughing at me.
With honey colored eyes and wispy brown hair. He was instantly the eye of the bar. The one everyone noticed.
I didn't feel deserving of his laughs and the way his cheeks turned red when he laughs really hard.
Somehow after only a few giggles and a few drinks he was able to pull every bit of me out.
Each time he laughed I wanted to make him laugh more, every time he smiled, I wanted to make him smile more and eveyone seemed shocked that such a beautiful person was leaving with me.
That was six years ago and I still loved him so much.
"Good morning sunshine." I whisper brushing his brown hair out of his face and he smiles opening his sleepy golden eyes.
I don't regret buying him this home, because of the way the sunrise shines through the windows and turn his eyes the beautiful shades of gold.
"Good morning, my love." He said and I kiss his neck softly and he giggles.
"How did you sleep." I say he frowns before rolling over and cuddling up into me.
"It would have been better if I got to sleep with you." He says into my chest and I rub my fingers through his soft hair. But I know it's not genuine, I'm not a hit at his club scene.
"I'm sorry, just a few more weeks and then this project would be over and I'll go back to my regular hours." I tell him even though it's a lie. The more projects I took on the more commissions I made, the more money I got for him to spend.
"You've been saying that for the last year." He says and I sigh. Last year my dads money ran out. 26 million and it was gone.
On a 18 million dollar homes and enough asseries to intertain the massive house parties he has with a bunch of people who look at me can tell why he even looked twice at me
"It's been one big project after the another." I continue.
"I'll make us some breakfast." He says climbing out of bed and I check the time.
"I'm sorry, love but I have to get to work." I tell him and he pouts.
"You're always working so much." He says and my heart flutters even at the thought that he could possibly mean it. But he begans to scroll on his two thousand dollar smartphone and I known he's looking for a way to spend more of my money with his friends.
"Yeah no one ever said it would be easy. But as long as your happy that's all that matters." I tell him knowing that soon he wouldn't be. Soon I'd stumble and not be able to keep up with the trips and cars.
"No, it's not about making me happy, it's about making money." He says with a frown and I nod kissing him on the head and getting ready for work.
"Yeah I know." I tell him before getting up and getting dressed and he flops back on the bed.
"Any plans?" I ask knowing what his plans are. To spend more money I don't have.
"Wait for you to come home?" He says and it makes me smile. I only bend down before kissing him deeply and he returns it, and it's the cutest thing in the world.
But I know he's lying. He'll go out spend thousands of dollars on clothes and toys.
"I love you." I whisper and he smiles blushing a bit.
