"I need to get home now!" I bark at the pilot and he only looks down.

"It's a storm coming. I can't fly in that kind of weather." He says and those words send fear inside me.

I should have never come here.

Suddenly my phone rings and I pray Ben had good news.

"I got you a car, it'll be a six-hour drive but you'll be back at latest three." He says and I sigh.

"Fuck Ben, what would I do without you," I tell him and he chuckles.

"Be stranded in Mexico." He says and I nod.

"I'll send you the info and also, I picked up your little gift for the Mrs. you can come pick it up the second you get back in town. Get home, have sex, bite him, propose during pillow talk be married before the baby comes." He says and I chuckle.

"And I will definably name him, or her after you." I joke.

"And I will be the best uncle slash godfather they could have. I can't wait for gender reveals and fathers day." He says way too excites.

"Have your own family will you."

"No, I think I'll just live vicariously through you." He says and I smile.

"Well if you ever do want to settle down. Adam has a friend who might be a good match, he's been hurt in a past relationship too, maybe you too could.

"Max, I'm not ready. Not after Ryan, not after being unable to control myself. I;" His voice only trails off and I realize that he was still broken.

"Oh Ben, we'll just have to settle for uncle Ben for now," I say and he chuckles.

"Uncle Ben seems kinda ominous. If you have a son, whose name is Peter I'm revoking my own title." He says and I laugh.

I arrive at the compound looking at my watch. 2:46. He was right.

I instantly run to the hangout where Ben usually was playing cards or pool only he wasn't there.

I pull out my phone seeing its dead and turn to some other underling.

"Have you Seen Ben?" I ask an she only shrugs.

"He said something about waiting in your office." He answers and I sigh in relief heading upstairs.

There was a clash of thunder and I flinch. I just wanted to get home and get under the covers with my love.

We would have to mate tomorrow tonight I just wanted to hold him.

Ben can handle things if I took the day off I'm sure. I probably wouldn't even have to ask.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was making arrangements now.

I think making it to the door of my office to see the lights off.

Odd. I think before stepping in and expecting Ben to jump out and scare me.

Only the moment I stepped past the thresh hold I was sure I heard crying.

Then I was hit by the smell, of an omega in heat.

"I instantly turn on the light and in a moment my world came crashing down.

Adam sat crying covered and blood and Ben.

Oh god Ben.

"Adam!" I say and he looks at me the most pain I'd ever seen in his eyes.

"I'm so sorry." He sobs but he was mostly OK so I turn to ben who wasn't.

"Ben!" I call out only to get no answer from him lifeless body.
