"Stupid!" I yell pushing my face into the pillow.

"I hate myself." I say Alice walks in.

"What's wrong?" She asks and I realize this is her first time talking to me since the Ryan incident. But if I weren't so stubborn maybe things would have been easier.

"Yes ladybug." I say and she smiles seeing I used the nickname I gave her as a rosy cheeked baby.

"Well Ryes is having one more show today and he did that everyone who had VIP passes from last weeks show could come to this one too." She says and I frown.

"So what you want me to go with you?"

"Dad said I can't go alone." Shy says and I groan.

"I can't." I tell her and she only sighs.

"Fine then I'll just have to tell dad about that time you drank too all his vodka and replaced the bottle was the water and pretended to break it." She says and I glare.

"That was two years ago fart bag! I'm twenty!"

"He'll still kick your ass!" She says and I groan before getting my coat.

The moment I'm in the crowded concert hall I feel paranoid. Like at any moment he would appear out of nowhere and I'll accidentally say that I love him.

I instantly check on Sam but of course he was nursing our little car accident victim to health and making wedding plans.

But the moment the stage lights set and he steps on stage I want to melt into the floor.

"Hi guys. I've decided to bring one of you guys to a very special trip with me and one person of your choice. For a weekend get away." He says and they all scream and I feel my heart drop into my stomach knowing that this would end with me alone once more with him.

I was just that unlucky.

"Did you hear that! He's picking one of us! He could pick me. Max what if he picks me!" She squeals.

"If he does leave me out of it." I say and suddenly the lights go out and I look to the stage.

"This song was written a long time ago and I said I'd only ever release it when I found my soul mate. Last night I revised it and I'd like to dedicate it to that special person who I know I'll love more then anything in the world." He says and I'm sure for a moment we made eye contact.

But he looked away quickly as he starts to play the guitar to a sweet melody.

For the slightly moment his happy cheery music was replaced by a song so beautiful. A song about love finding a way against all odds. But there's a part that says

"But if our fait isn't true, I'll change my fait to be with you." And it's a direct blow to my soft bits.

I don't know when he noticed me but halfway through we locked eyes and he smiled a little.

"Alice I'm going to the bathroom." I say as I get the door just as the second verse and I'm frozen by his beautiful voice and lyrics.

My heart pounded and I tried to think about Sam but like a Siren he took control of my mind and body.

Until the song came to an end and he was looking at me once more and I rub my tear filled eyes.

After many more songs that didn't hit me in every clavicle of my heart he finally announced the winner.

"Alice Lewis-Clark!" He says and I'm honestly not surprised but Alice is and proceeds to scream her head off and I have to protect her from those screaming and begging to be her plus one.
