Namjoon could only stare at the floor he was kneeling on as the gunshots echoed in his mind. His brothers and his lover were dead and he had brought it about. He couldn't even raise his head when a shadow fell across him and a pair of legs entered his field of vision. It was only that awful human voice speaking to him that made him raise his eyes from the floor.

"Well, Mr. Kim, the problem is solved. Now you don't have to make a choice on who will live because your indecision killed them all." The man pointed the gun again at Namjoon's head, filling him with relief that he would join his family in death. But that relief was short lived as the man continued. "No, Mr. Kim. You will not die today. Perhaps I will give you a worse punishment. How about I set you free? Send you back home to South Korea?" The man turned and walked back to the door. "You could go home, but then you would have to explain to their families, and your fans - the world - how you got them killed." The man taunted those last words as he laughed and left the room.

Namjoon had, for a brief moment, forgotten that one of his brothers still lived. He looked up into the polite, disinterested smile of Park Jimin and felt his soul shatter.

"Jimin-ah?"

Jimin's arms had been released and he rubbed at his shoulder absently. He had gotten his breathing under control at Sven's insistence - the man's harsh whisper to the certainty of Namjoon's death before Jimin's very eyes if he didn't reclaim his calm sobered him right up. Sven reminded him what his expectations were and Jimin complied, knowing that if he did not do this, Sven would make sure those bullets were real.

But what if they already were?

What if Sven had been lying and his brothers - the piece of his heart that made him whole - really were dead?

What if his brave Jungkookie had been broken before the bullet found him: the way they held his arm made it look as if the bone was splintering before he even left the room.

What of Hobi with his damaged leg?

Or Jin who dared to open his mouth against his own leader?

What of Yoongi, who they had already tortured so... wouldn't they have found pleasure in annihilating them all?
