As we steam-roll towards the end of all the material that I have pre-written for Kidnapped and towards all new experiences and ideas, I find myself a little nostalgic for times past.

I find it so hard to believe that it's already been a wild year and some odd months since this journey began and I am so deeply thankful for each and every one of you who has stayed by my side through all the rough times we have had.

I feel the need to once more thank Sandra (who will probably never see this message) for sharing the beauty of Kidnapped with me, and for allowing me to grow it into what it is today, even if we didn't see eye to eye in the end.

Thank you to all of my beautiful friends who came here from the old version (which can be found here: wattpad(dot)com(backslash)504176814-bts-kidnapped-part-1-by-sandra-flynn-kaelyn-grey  ) and to all of my beautiful friends who started this journey here in the new version.

Thank you to my beta-readers/sound-boards/vent takers/anything and everything I needed them to be, 'A' and 'L' for the countless hours they spent helping me grow Kidnapped into the story I wanted it to be, the story I knew it could be, and the truly amazing tale I have watched it become.

Thank you to every reader who fed my evil and challenged me and gave me ideas. I owe much of this story to you guys as well and it makes me so happy every time I read a comment.

Thank you, as always, to one of my top best friends in this whole world, @itsokaetae (her name, ugh, LOVE), who has stuck by this story, and my side, through thick and thin, even when she hated the direction kidnapped was going. Thank you for approaching me in the very beginning and giving me the courage and strength to take charge of this story and make it what it is. Thank you for always listening to me, and feeding me ideas, and writing me lines, and spin-offs, and whole gut-wrenching chapters to use for this story. Thank you for approaching me a few months back and voicing your concerns once more so that I could process mine and get Kidnapped back on track to where it needed to be. Thank you for being as passionate and excited about this entire journey as I am. I hope you and I see it to the end (in like a hundred years, let's be honest, haha).

For anyone who doesn't know, @itsokaetae actually wrote like 99% of Jimin's reaction (in the hiatus'd version) because she is in fact my long lost evil twin, which I then tweaked only slightly and which she is now revamping for ultimate heartache to be placed in this version here when the time comes. If anyone ever needs someone to blame for all of the evil found herein, blame her since it is entirely her fault for feeding my flame as beautifully as she does. I am so very thankful that we met! Without her this story would have fizzled and died, I kid you not. I must also thank her for listening to my incessant rambling and for brainstorming with me and giving me such evil, angst-y ideas these past many months. How she puts up with me some days I will honestly never know. Ugh.

Now let me get really weepy and share my inner nerd.

Y'all see all those AMAZING fan arts going around EVERYWHERE??? For YEARS I wanted someone to make me one, but that isn't something you just ASK someone. So here I sat and dreamed. Then I learned to make really crappy edits.

Fast forward to a few months ago (6? 7?) when I meet @AmyDoodles1 on Twitter (and really through Kidnapped). She asked me to read her REALLY AMAZING fanfic here on AO3, and then I offered to beta it because I LOVE helping people be creative. And I may have made hundreds of edits (bows her head in shame) but because she is such a true and sweet and receptive person she took those edits and grew from them and is really doing amazing work, which I hope you will take the time to support by reading here:  www(dot)archiveofourown(dot)org(backslash)works(backslash)18274769(backslash)chapters(backslash)43248098.

But because she is an amazing person, she also made my dreams come true in ways I never imagined. She made me an author that HAD those amazing edits. You really have inspired me to dust off my laptop and get back on it, and to learn to make these amazing edits on my own. Thanks for taking HOURS to talk to me on discord and watch me create my first piece when I know you had so much else you should have been doing. You'll never know what this means to me. It is a gratitude beyond words.

I don't really EVER read self-inserts or Y/N fics because they are usually SUPER cringe for me (personal preference, if that is your thing or something you write, keep being beautiful), but this one:  www(dot)archiveofourown(dot)org(backslash)works(backslash)/17228192(backslash)chapters(backslash)40512542 was sent to me via the author @Taefantasies and I took the time to skim read it (and then bookmark it) and it really is an AMAZING (completed) piece of work that I hope you all take the time to check out. Also feel free to look her up on Wattpad under the same name for more of her stories and a short biography to learn more about the author!

Not sure how I got this story, but I assume it is because the author @ asked me to give it a shout out and, why not! I skimmed it and wonder why I never read it.
