Summary:
Just so you know, and maybe you don't care, Thomas and Nancy Brewer were two of the kindest, most selfless, and hard-working people I have ever met.
They helped shape me into the person I am today, and I miss them more than words can say.
While the people portrayed here are not actually them, this little memory of home and the people who lived there is just one more insight I can give you into where our boys actually ended up.
Nancy Jett Brewer was born January 21st, 1925 in Jackson, Kentucky. She passed away March 15th, 1997 and was buried not far from where BTS was being held on property her father had deeded to his son-in-law, Thomas Brewer.
Thomas (who I named my youngest son after) was born June 3rd, 1927. He and I were thick as thieves as we ran the mountains and hills I have described in this story, tending to the massive family farm which I walked away from on October 12th, 2001 – the day he died.

{My maternal grandmother, Nancy Jett Brewer}
(This glamour shot was taken on my 10th birthday. We went and had them done together. It is the last memory I have of her before she started her courageous battle with cancer which she ultimately lost two years later.)

{My maternal grandfather, Thomas Glenn Brewer}
(My grandpa was mean as a snake and I loved him so. He and my grandmother raised me. I miss them every day.)
