"You know what I want," Sven had said, pushing Jimin down and crawling on top of him, making Jimin relive his nightmares of the night.

Taehyung's ruined voice begging for mercy - for death - plagued all of Jimin's thoughts as his master caressed and filled his body, words of adoration and praise falling from the lips that had not so long ago spit hatred and condemnation to a soul that had done nothing to deserve his punishment at all.

Now Jimin was in the shower cleaning up, lost to his thoughts, his master's latest command ringing in his ear.

"You are to scrub until you shine," he had said. "Cleanse your body and your mind. Wash away the person you used to be. Tonight we shall announce our engagement to your friends. Do you think they will be happy for you?"

Jimin choked on a sob as he replayed those words, realizing all that he had done.

He had condemned Taehyung to his fate - spoke his brother's punishment into existence and thought no more of it. And now...now he didn't even know where Taehyung was.

What state he was in.

How their family would react.

Would they pity Jimin?

Understand the choices he had made?

Or would they cast him out of what remained of their family?

Scream for vengeance for what he had done to their beloved Taehyung?

Jimin didn't know.

He didn't know himself and he didn't know his brothers.

He did not remember the people they had left behind - those bright eyed boys thirsty for success, for a chance to prove the naysayers wrong.

Where were those boys? Not quite grown, but no longer children.

Jimin mourned the loss of them. Wondered if it would be kinder on them all if none of them returned.

Kinder on his brothers.

Kinder on their families.

Kinder on the world that had left them behind - abandoned them to the monsters that held them captive - caged.
