When Taehyung had finished in the bathroom of Sven's lavish rooms, a guard had gently escorted him back to the prison he had been summoned from.

As soon as the door shut, Namjoon spun around, standing from where he had just forced Hoseok to sit and approaching Taehyung with concern.

"What happened?" he asked as he pulled Taehyung to him, looking for any physical sign that his dongsaeng had been damaged as he tried to soothe the obviously shaken man with his touch.

Namjoon had been pacing with the others less than 10 steps from the door when it opened. He had just shooed Jungkook away, sure that the stress of standing rooted in the same spot for as long as he had was not good for his recovery before pulling Hoseok with him and sitting him on a bed nearby. Namjoon knew Hoseok had a soft spot, especially for Taehyung, and he worried that the pacing his lover had done would do damage to his still tender leg. Namjoon nearly bowled Taehyung over as he approached him too quickly, surprise and concern making him awkward and uncoordinated.

"Nothing happened!" Taehyung insisted, shaking his head - pushing his discomfort down - as he forced himself to give his hyung a smile.

As Jungkook, who seemed to materialize by his side, rubbed his arm, surveying him much the same way that Namjoon did, looking for signs of trauma, something he could fix, Taehyung knew he couldn't tell them what happened - he didn't ever want them to know.

"He...he said he wanted to talk to me. That's all. I promise. He told me he wanted to... to get to know me. That's all."

"You're lying," a rough voice came from the corner where Yoongi stood, frozen in mid-step, as though he had been prepared to approach Taehyung but thought better of it and stayed where he was.

Yoongi had been terrified when Taehyung was pulled away in the exact same manner Jimin had been after so much time had passed. Weeks had gone by without anything other than vague updates from Mathan about their brother's condition. And now Yoongi knew that Taehyung was being thrown to the same fate: a shining beauty to serve some rich man's sick pleasures. Yoongi wanted to go to Taehyung, to hold him close and breathe him in. Just because he could no longer love Taehyung in that way - would not allow himself to love the man so - it did not mean that Yoongi did not still care for Taehyung deeply as a younger brother and friend. He had worried his cheek until it bled as he had counted the moments of silence that preceded Taehyung's return.

But that wasn't all of it, not if he was being honest with himself. That wasn't all of it by a long-shot.

There was still that love that dwelled deep inside him - the one he wanted to force away because he knew it shouldn't be there, should never have been there, and didn't matter anymore, even if it was. The thought of the man he loved being locked in a room with an animal like Sven made him sick. So he had started walking, moving toward Taehyung mindlessly when the door closed, shutting the guards out and them inside, wanting to touch him to make sure he was ok... to make sure he was real. But Jungkook - he got there first, crossing the room in great strides as he moved toward the man who had always been one of the loves of his life.
