"Jeongguk oppa!"

He grinned when he got out of his dark blue mini cooper and saw the six-year-old run to him and jumping into his outstretched arms when he reached her.

Jeongguk looked forward to his excursion with Emmy each week and vowed to never let her down.

"Hey, sweetheart." Jeongguk said, hugging her before pulling away with his hands on the girl's shoulders, "So what you'd like to do today?"

"Emmy want go park play swings and Emmy want chocolate ice cream!!"

"Aigoo Emmy, I haven't tied up your hair, baby. You ran out once you saw Jeongguk oppa arrives ehy?"

Jeongguk looked up and smiled at the girl's mother. The past year had been traumatic for the little girl. Since his previous unit commander, Daniel, a single father, was killed in a warehouse fire. Jeongguk vowed at Daniel's funeral he'd be there to help his family.

That's where Jeongguk's older brother, Namjoon came into the picture. Namjoon and his mate, Seokjin decided to adopt the three year old Emmy. It has been three years now, Emmy has been called from Emmy Daniel to Kim Emmy. The little girl has blend so well into the lives of NamJin perfectly.

"Jinnie hyung, how are you?"

"Ahh.. I am well Gguk-ah.. Abit tired... See, Emmy has been so active these days." Jin stated and the girl cutely giggle at them.

After chatting with Jin a few moments longer, both Jeongguk and Emmy left for their activities of the day. Mid afternoon, while on their way back home Jeongguk's phone went off.

He immediately pick up the familiar called for him. "Yes, Sir Sejin, what's up?" Jeongguk asked.

"Jeongguk, your team mates Eunwoo called in sick. He's caught a flu." Sejin explained,

"I wonder if you're able to cover his shift? I hate to ask you on your day off, but if you say no I only have Yugyeom left to ask. I'll give you a short holiday next week as a token of my gratitude?"

"Sure, Sejin-ssi. Not a problem. Let me take Emmy back home first before I come back to the station yah." Jeongguk said, not wanting to let Yugyeom take over since that man already covered his workload during his vacation.

Jeongguk then tried explained that he can't sleep over tonight together with her, he could tell the girl was disappointed but cheered up slightly when Jeongguk said he'd order her family dinner from their favorite restaurant.

The drive back home was filled with conversation about the movie Jeongguk had seen a trailer of in the last film he saw. It featured one of Emmy's favorite spy armies, and he figured she'd be interested.
