Twelve - I got burned

"Jeongguk-ah? I've a letter for you. It's from.. Taehyung." Jimin, (he's a Fire Station Photographer) and Yoongi's boyfriend.

"Oh, thanks, Jimin." Jeongguk collected the letter from Jimin and fell into a nearby bench and absently nibbled on his cookie, thinking about the fight he and Taehyung had days back.

He had only wanted to comfort and soothe the man, but he had exploded on him after his façade cracked momentarily. He wanted to think Taehyung was coming around, but this morning quelled that belief.

Jeongguk even had to lied to Yoongi, that there's nothing going on between him and Taehuung. He tried his best to feign ignorance and innocence but he knew that Yoongi saw right through his act.

"You sure? Please head my advise as a warning. Don't get involved with that guy. He's a mess. You're better than that and you know it."

It's too late. I'm already beyond involved. Jeongguk thought.

"Yoongz, how could you say that?! Taehyung, my best friend okay and he's not that bad. He has his own reasons for reacting the way he is.." Jimin gives him an incredulous look, rolling his eyes, he could not accept anyone saying bad things about his friend.

"Honestly, he is such a pain to deal with." Yoongi says, his voice barely over a whisper.

Jimin lightly smacked Yoongi in the stomach. "There you go again! Never say that about my Taetae. What's up with you? I know him better than you guys do! Gguk, just so you know, he felt guilty for what he's done to you and he's sorry, alright?" Jimin said with a sigh of disappointment.

Yoongi didn't even attempt to speak back, knowing that nothing that he said could help.
A comfortable silence fell over them, neither of them having any real way to tell how long it lasted, but neither eager to break it.

Suddenly Jeongguk remembers something and he looked at Jimin in exasperation. "Jimin, Son Ho Joon.. who is he?"

Jimin was taken aback by the grimness that had settled over Jeongguk's features. He's unsure of what to feel about how Jeongguk knows about that idiot?! His shoulders were tense and his entire body was shuddering. He could feel a rage inside of him building at the hearing of that name.

"He-" Jimin could barely say his name without flinching. "He's Taehyung ex boyfriend. Told Taetae to stay away from Ho Joon because that guy, he's bad news."

Even though Jeongguk understood, he still felt irritation. "What happened to both of them? Why did they broke up?"  Thunderous expression crossed his face as he asked in desperation.

Just when Jimin about to explain, the sound of sirens blast off. The familiar noise sprang Jeongguk, Yoongi and his team into action along with Jimin who were task to follow along to photographing the scene for investigating purpose.

I am sorry for the way I acted and the way things happened. I unfortunately can't erase the unkind words and the way I said them. I hope you forgive me and I hope we can get past the soreness I have caused.
