Christine's POV
THUD!
"Christine! Wake up! It's Christmas!"
"Mmmmm it's too early."
I moaned and flopped over, trying to go back to sleep.
"Christine! Come on, get up!"
"Erik, I'm tired!"
I groaned.
"But I've never had a Christmas before."
He whimpered. I opened my eyes and looked up at him his lip was pouted and he was giving me sad eyes.
"All right, all right."
I slowly got up and he pulled me out of bed. He scooped me up and slung me over his shoulder.
"Erik! Put me down now! This isn't funny!"
I growled.
"Oh but it is."
"Erik!"
I shriek and he finally set me down near the Christmas tree in the parlor. It was decorated with candles ornaments and garland in an array of colors. I smiled at him, he wore a large grin. The thought of a grown man never experiencing Christmas hurt a little bit. My eyes glazed over but I quickly wiped them. I pulled my present for him from under the tree and gave it to him. He pulled two sloppily wrapped presents and give them to me. I watched as he plucked the mistletoe from the top of the box.
"What's this?"
"Mistletoe Erik?"
"Why did you put it on the box?"
"You don't know about mistletoe? Here, hold it over your head."
I smiled. He obeyed and I jumped in his lap and kissed him passionately.
"Whoever is under the mistletoe gets a Christmas kiss Erik."
"I like this tradition."
He held it over my head and gently kissed me.
"Erik, open your present."
I smiled I couldn't wait for him to open the box. He tore off the paper and opened the box. I grinned from ear to ear as he pulled the white velvety fabric from the box. He fingered it and smiled.
"A cape. Thank you darling. I love it."
"It's white do you know why?"
"Tell me?"
"Because, you're my angel."
I smiled and kissed his cheek.
"There's more in the box love."
He smiled and found a tiny box under the cape. I watched him open it. He pulled the watch from the box and looked up at me.
"It's lovely."
"Open it."
"What do you mean?"
"Just open it."
He opened it to reveal on one side a watch face, on the other a portrait of myself.
"I'll be with you always."
I smiled.
"Thank you Christine."
He kissed my temple and gave me a squeeze.
"Your turn. I suggest the larger one first."
He smirked and I obeyed. I slowly tore the paper off and opened the box. Inside was a music score. I sight read it. The words were so beautiful and sweet, as was the music.
"I composed it while you weren't around. Shopping, sleeping or just wandering about the building. I'll play it for you after you open your next present."
He smiled and kissed my hands. I nodded with teary eyes. I opened the small box and fingered the beautiful necklace.
"Open it."
I did as he commanded. Inside lyrics to the first song he sang to me.
"Help me make the music of the night."
Tears spilled over. I help it out to him and he helped me put it on.
"It's so beautiful. All of this th-thank you Erik."
I smiled and looked up at him. He wore a smirk. He had the mistletoe over his head. I kissed him again.
"Merry Christmas."
He muttered against my lips.
