Christine's POV
A small sigh escapes my lips as I pull out my stationary. I haven't heard from my angel since Il Muto. Im not sure what I have done wrong, but I do miss him very much. He was more than just a teacher to me. He was a friend-Someone to talk to when I needed it. Oh-the talks we had during, or after lessons! He had learned so much about me. I even cried to him when I missed my papa. Since I hadn't seen him in so long I decided I would write a letter and leave it in his normal seat-box five. I bite my lips as I start.
"My dearest Angel,
It has been almost two months since I have seen you last. Why? Have I done something to upset you? Have I not pleased you with my performances?"
I scribble as I move close to the parchment. The candle flickers and I look up to the mirror, expecting him to appear. When he doesn't I go back to the letter.
"Every performance was for you angel, I sang for you! Hoping you would come to my mirror and praise me as you had after each lesson. Our lessons were the most delightful part of every night for me. When we didn't have our lessons I grew restless and hoped you would come to see me, just to talk as we sometimes did afterwards."
I sniffled and my eyes started to get glassy. Until this moment I hadn't realized how important he was to me. After dipping the quill into the well I start again.
"Angel, you have helped me through these trying times in my life, and I am very grateful for that. I feel selfish for missing you and for not having helped you. I don't even know your name-but I think I'm in love with you mon ange."
I write shakily. After writing that sentence I pull my hand from the parchment and stare at it. As I look at the paper I notice a water droplet-a tear. My love is real or I would not be crying over this man whose name I do not even know.
"I apologize if you do not feel the same. I hope this finds you and that you are able to write me back.
Yours, Christine"
I signed it quickly and put it in an envelope. After addressing and sealing it I get up and take a deep breath. With my candle in hand I make my way to the boxes. It was late, hopefully no one would find the letter except the man whom it was for. It only took five minutes to walk to box five. The walk was extremely eerie in the dark only having a candle for light. When I walk in I see the dark stage perfectly, no wonder he liked to sit here. With a sad smile on my face I take the letter to the best seat in the box. After kissing it I leave it on the seat.
"Goodbye my angel."
