Ramin's Pov
I'd been divorced for about a year and a half. The boys had just left from their visit. I was a tad lonely, but I'd be alright. Work. Time for work. I stood up from my warm bed and got in the shower. I let the hot water uncoil my tense muscles. Les Mis was a physically demanding show. I toweled myself off and got dressed. Ready for work. Almost. I mean. Without the costume I suppose.
As I arrived at work it started to snow. New York during winter was the most beautiful thing one could experience. Everyone should see it at least once in their life. I sighed in content as I made my way into the theatre. Will and Andrew had their wives visiting today. Best not to disturb them. Andy had is fiancé. Jesus. Was I the only man who was alone on this show? I went to get dressed and get my makeup done.
Once I was ready I want to the wings and peaked at the audience. One girl caught my eye. She was gorgeous. Sitting in the orchestra.
"Ramin? Ramin!"
The stage manager called me.
"C'mon five minutes to show time."
I nod and take my place. The music starts. The lights flick on and the show begins. As I rip my shirt off I look right at her. She grins and I almost do too. But I'm Jean Val Jean right right now.
It's time to de-Val Jean and go to the stage door. Hopefully she's there. I want to meet her. Just say hello at the very least. I move down the line of people. I'm in a generous mood, so I take pictures with just about everyone who asks and sign everything I can. I come to the end of the line and there she is. My heart skips a beat.
"H-hi."
I smile. She looks up at me with her gorgeous doe-like eyes.
"Hi."
She smiles back. Her voice is like silk. I practically melt.
"So, how did you like the show?"
"It was wonderful. You did a fantastic job."
"T-thank you."
"I was wondering if you could sign this?"
She gave me her playbill.
"Of course. Would you like a photo?"
She blushed and nodded. I got closer to her and kissed her cheek for the picture. Her face was bright red.
"Oh. I'm sorry..."
"It's alright."
"Did you want another one? Oh and I'd like you to send me that one."
"Sure I'll tweet it at y-"
"No. To my phone."
I smiled.
"May I see your phone?"
I asked politely. She unlocked it and handed it to me. I texted myself 'hey' from her phone and added my number to her contacts.
"There."
I saved her number and replied with a smiley face.
"So do you live here?"
"I just moved here last weekend."
She smiled as she tucked a stray hair behind her hair. The winter wind blew her hair in all directions and she still looked perfect.
"You never did tell me your name?
Catherine."
"Ramin."
I shook her hand being comedically formal.
"So, maybe we could go out for coffee? I could show you the best place in town?"
"Alright. Just text me."
She smiled.
"I've gotta go it's getting late and cold."
"I'll see you."
"Alright."
She kissed my cheek and we parted ways.
"Catherine."
I breathed.
