Sierra POV:
"Hiya Norm, how was your vacation? I saw all the posts on twitter. Looks like you had a blast."
He chuckled at my excitement. Norm was another father figure to me because of how we were costars in The Little Mermaid. He would always give advice when it came to my dating life and overall anything else I needed helped on.
"Sierra, I had a blast. It was nice to have a break from city life, and enjoy what is around you. I must admit, I did miss my favorite Christine." He picked me in a big bear hug and spun me around.
"Here I brought you something back from Japan." He handed me this necklace with a beautiful crystal in a shape of a heart. The colors blended perfectly together resembling a marble that I used to play with as a child.
"Oh Norm! This is beautiful, thank you so much."
I gave him a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. He pulled back and gave a smile.
"Do you know why I choose the heart shape crystal?" he asked with a smirk on his face.
"Umm, no. Does it have to do with my non-existent love life?"
"To be honest, it does. The lady that purchased it from said that it is supposed to help attract your soul mate."
I looked at the floor feeling embarrassed because I haven't been on a real date in a year and well I feel like the ugly duckling in the family. My sisters are married and have children and my parents have been asking me why I'm not married yet or at least in a relationship. My response is that 'I am fine being alone' and 'my career is important to me', but in reality I am waiting for 'Mr. Right' to come along and sweep me off my feet. I guess I spaced out to much, because I felt Norm put his left hand on my shoulder and his right hand under my chin so I can look at him. "Sierra darling, I know you are lonely I can tell. I'm just trying to help. I'm sorry if I pushed a little too much, I just want you to find a good guy and I thought this crystal might help." He let out a sigh.
"Norm, its fine. I know you are trying to help me. I really do appreciate how generous you are. I couldn't ask for a better friend." I gave him a reassuring smile and a pat on the shoulder.
"Sierra, you know I care for you right? You are like my daughter." he kissed the top of my forehead. "Yes, I know. Thank you for that." We finally released form the hug.
"Well I better be going. I don't want to get stuck walking in the snow especially at night." Norm gave me another hug.
"Sierra I told you countless times to catch a cab or at least wait for me to walk you home." He gave me the patent father lecture. "Okay dad." I said sarcastically "I will be fine Norm, I promise. I will text you when I get to my apartment. I will be fine. Don't worry about me." He shook his head in defeat.
"Okay, please be careful."
"I will. See you tomorrow." I waved good bye and picked up all my stuff ready to go home and eat a tub of vanilla ice cream all by myself. I walked through central park looking at all the happy couples walking hand-in-hand, longing for that type of affection.I continued walking through Central Park when I noticed my necklace started to glow. In shock I grabbed the crystal to inspect it. "What in the world did Norm give me?" People passed me by giving me strange looks as if I was a crazy person.I continued to inspect this crystal trying to see what was wrong with this necklace.
"HEY!" I turned to see a handsome fellow call for me. I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking because all of a sudden the world went black.
Part 2
Ramin POV:
"Oi, Ramin lets go get some bevs my man. We closed the deal with the Japanese so lets go out celebrate."
My business partner Hadley can be a handful sometimes, yes I should be happy that we closed the deal with the Japanese, but I just wanted to go home to my empty loft and have a nice relaxing evening.
"Nah, I-I'm fine Hadley, I just want to go home."
I rubbed my hands across my face into my hair, looking down at the crystal Mrs.Kawamoto gave me as a gift. It was a necklace in the shape of a heart, with a mixture of my favorite colors. "Come on Ram, lets go and have fun, we can get you a couple of girls for you to hang out with." He poked my side with his elbow and wiggled his eyebrows at me. I was getting annoyed at this point.
"I said No Hadley, I don't want to go out. I just want to go home."
I raised my voice too high for Hadley's liking because he looked as if he was scared of me.
"S-sorry R-Ramin I didn't mean to man, I was just trying to help you get out more. It's been a year since Mandy called off the engagement. I don't like seeing my best mate moping around." He gave me a weak smile and put his right hand on my shoulder trying to consul me.
"Sorry Hadley for raising my voice at you, it was just a long day and I want to go home." I sighed, a year and I am still hurting.
"Its fine Ramin, I understand. I will call you tomorrow morning." he picked up his trench coat and left my office.
I got up from my desk and trudge towards the window to look at the evening sky of New York. So peaceful out night, but still lonely and dismal. I let out sigh and my breath fogged up the window. I drew a little heart in the fog and then wiped it away.
"Someday it will happen and it will be real."
It was time for me to head home, I shut off my computer, put all the paper work away, I grabbed my trench coat and called my driver to tell him that I won't be needing a ride home today. On the days that the meteorologist say it is going to snow I choose to walk home. Walking home in the snow reminds me of Canada and my parents, I haven't been home in about a year because I been so busy with work, some days I asked myself why I decide to major in business and not Theater. Theater was my true passion, but my dad said that business was the ideal future for me, and he wanted me to take over the family business when he retires, as the saying goes 'parents do now best". Sadly this wasn't one of those times. I walked out my father's building and felt the cold air hit my scruffy face. It was a bit colder than I expected at this time of year, I had to actually wear my black leather gloves and my black plaid scarf. I was walking through central park seeing couples walking hand-in-hand. I was jealous, that was supposed to be Mandy and me, but she decided to break off the engagement and leave to Spain with her trainer. I shook the memory out of my head and continued walking when I noticed my necklace started to glow. I stopped in my tracks, it was pulsating like a heartbeat, I quickly took off the necklace and started walking back to my office when it stopped pulsating. "Thank God, I thought I was freaking out." I walked back home when It started back up again.
"What the Hell!" I shouted making couples stare at me. I continued walking towards my loft, when it started pulsating quicker. I looked around and I saw beautiful red head, who had the exact same necklace as mine. She had the same shocked expression on her face, she wasn't paying attention because shewalked into a tree.
"Hey!" I shouted the loudest I could, but it was too late. My body reacted quicker than my brain, I already found myself across the street trying to help this beautiful woman up. Does love at first sight exist?
Part 3
Sierra POV
"Excuse miss? Miss? Can you hear me? Are you okay?" I kepthearing this deep voice calling for me, but I couldn't open my eyes they felt so heavy. I felt a warm hand lay on top of my forehead. I slowly felt myself being picked up and snuggled into a nice muscular chest.
"Where is the nearest Hospital!?" He yelled. This mystery man's voice is so hypnotizing, I truly felt as if I was Christine being picked up by my Phantom.
"Don't worry miss, we are almost there."
He told me and all of a sudden I felt a pair of warm lips on my forehead. I shivered at his touched this man, this beautiful strong man made me feel this way, but yet I haven't even talked to himor seen him. I felt my body go numb and slip back into darkness.
"Ms. Boggess can you hear? I need to you to wake up now." I felt somebody grab my hand and rub tiny circles.
"Yeah come on Sie, can you please wake up for me? I would love to see those beautiful eyes of yours." Sie? Who's Sie? I stirred a bit, but I was finally able to open my eyes, I saw this beautiful handsome man in front with me. His face reminded me of a Greek god, he had deep chocolaty eyes that could make you melt, and his dimples are to die for. My heart skipped a beat when he let go of my hand to brush a strand hair back in place. I felt my cheeks go warm, who is this mysterious man. He was about to open his mouth when the doctor interrupted us. "Ms.Boggess my name is Dr.Free, how are you feeling?" I did hear the doctor the first time "Ms.Boggess did you hear me?"
"Hmm? I'm sorry what was that?" I was unable to concentrate with this handsome man staring at me. What is his name?
"I said how are you feeling?" I could tell the doctor was getting annoyed but I couldn't take my eyes off this man. I finally turned to look at the doctor. "I'm feel fine just a slight headache. What happened?"
"Well Ms.Boggess you walked into a tree, and Mr.Karimloo -er- I mean Ramin was fortunately there to save you and bring you here. You will able to leave the hospital after your friend Norm has been contacted of your awakening. Other than that everything looks fine." Before leaving he took my temperature to make sure I was healthy enough.
"Thank you Dr.Free." he nodded and left the room, leaving me alone with handsome fellow named Ramin Karimloo. "Umm" we said at the same time. Ramin let out a chuckle, he looked at me with those soft brown eyes. "You can go first." His accent is so different and so sexy.
"Well my name is Sierra Boggess." I stuck at my hand, to where he grabbed and kissed it. "and I am Ramin." I felt my lips form into a smile.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Ramin, thank you for bringing me here."
"Well the pleasure is mine, I guess we were somehow at the right place at the right time."
I learned Ramin was from Canada and will eventually take over his dad business. Sadly he's fiancé left him. Who in the world with leave this handsome man. We were about to continue our conversation when a very concerned Norm ran into my room out of breath.
"Norm, you're finally here." He rushed over to me and wrapped me in a big bear hug.
"Sierra, darling are you okay, I rushed right over here when I heard. You should have waited for me?"
"N-Norm, I'm fine. Besides Ramin." I motioned to Ramin. "was there to bring me here." Ramin stood up and stuck out his hand. When he stood up I noticed his necklace was the same as mine, I guess Norm notice to because he stared at me.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Ramin, thank you for bringing Sierra here."
"Oh of course, I mean who wouldn't want to save a beautiful girl."
His face blushed red. Don't worry Ramin the feeling is mutual. I thought to myself. Norm let out a chuckle.
"say Ramin can I see your necklace and Sierra where is yours?" Ramin took off his necklace giving it to Norm, I motioned Norm to look in my bag to get the necklace. He grabbed them and once they became in contact with each other they started pulsating.
"My necklace was doing that earlier." We said at the same time. Norm looked at us and smiled. He gave us back or necklaces. "Put them on and now kiss." Ramin started coughing and looked beet red. "What are you going on about, Norm?" "Do you trust me Sierra? What about you Ramin"
"Well Norm, I barely know you but if Sie trusts you then I guess I do too?" They both looked at me. "I trust you Norm." I gave Ramin a reassuring smile
"Then hurry up and kiss." I gulped when I felt Ramin hold my hand. "Are you ready?" he asked soft and quietly. I nodded. He cupped my faced and rub his thumb across my lips, he leaned down and I reached up, we captured each other lips. It was soft meaningful kiss, this kiss was different from all the kisses I have ever shared with any other guys. It felt right. We pulled back when we noticed our necklaces combined into one big heart and the light was a steady glow. Ramin looked completely confused.
"Um what does this mean?"
"Well Ramin, I would like to reintroduce myself."
"Okay? I guess."
"Hi, I'm Sierra and I'm you're true soulmate."
I kissed him before he could ask questions. I had to show him that we are meant to be.
