Third Person POV

Seven AM
Iris woke up rubbing her eyes. Xavier was still asleep lying next to her while tightly gripping her waist. She smiled and picked up her phone. She saw seven missed calls from her best friend Alivia. Alivia and Iris weren't always the best of friends. In fact, they used to envy each other.

Flashback

Back in sixth grade, Iris loved to play tetherball. Alivia and Iris would have competitions to see who would win. Every time they both would even up the scores. One day, Iris won by her slight advantage in height.

Alivia cried which caused Iris to feel bad. Iris being the kind girl she is, decided to become friends by telling Alivia that everyone is a winner.

Ever since then, they would hang out and do mostly everything together. Alivia didn't know about the incident with Iris and her father, that's why Iris became more cold. Slowly, Iris became how she was. Alivia tried to help her but Iris wouldn't budge. That's why she stopped trying and just decided to keep away from it and not bring it up to jeopardize their friendship.

_

Iris was sitting on her bed remembering all their memories together. She didn't want to tell anyone about what's happening. It would make it worse. She texted Alivia to ease her worry.

To Alivia:
Hey! I'm sorry I didn't answer your calls or text messages. I was really busy with some personal issues. I'll call you when I have time!

Iris didn't like to lie. But her father left her no choice. Iris had fifty minutes to get ready for school. She slowly wiggled out of Xavier's grip and got up.

He opened his eyes at the action. "Good morning," she greeted him while smiling. He smiled back and replied in a gruff voice. "Morning." Iris went into the bathroom and looked at her clothes.

She asked Xavier to give her some clothes since all of hers were at home. "I'd prefer you without clothes," pouted Xavier. She threw a pillow at him as he caught it and pointed towards the closet. She chuckled. "You want me to wear your clothes?"

Xavier got up and bear hugged her. To say Iris wasn't enjoying it, it would be a lie. His scent was intoxicating. "Like I said, I would prefer you to wear no clothes. But since I don't want anyone looking at you like that. You will wear my clothes." Xavier pulled back from the hug.

Iris blushed and walked towards the walk in closet and took out a plain black t-shirt and a random pair of jeans that looked as if they were meant for girls, which they were. "Who's are these?" Iris felt a bit of anger in her.

Why would he have a random pair of jeans that belonged to women in his closet? Did he like those type? Not that there was nothing wrong with that, but Iris noticed that they were way too small for him.

Xavier chuckled and walked towards her. "Those are my little sisters. She left them here from when we were having a sibling sleepover." Iris felt shy and apologized looking down. Xavier smiled and lifted her chin up, looking into her caramel eyes. "You can wear them. By the way, you're cute when you get jealous." He smirked and walked away leaving Iris speechless.

Iris went into the bathroom and took a shower, brushed her teeth, and put her clothes on.

She got out of Xavier's bedroom and went downstairs towards the kitchen where the housemaid was making breakfast. It smelled amazing. The maid turned around and saw Iris. "Hello dear." She smiled warmly and greeted Iris.

Iris said hello and sat down on the dinner table. "How was your day so far, young one?" Iris smiled. "It was good. How was yours?" They continued talking. Iris learned that the housemaids name was Maria and she has worked for Xavier for seven years. She was very warm hearted and kind. She had two children that were seven and three.

"Maria?" Iris asked. "Yes dear?" She responded. "Where is Xavier?" Maria chuckled and said that Xavier was outside in the garden. Iris thanked her and got up to go to the garden. Xavier was facing the flowers as he was on a phone call.

"Fine, we'll be there today. But we won't stay. Bye." Xavier ended the call and turned to see Iris standing behind him.

"Hey," he said. "Are you ok?" Iris walked towards him and slowly nodded.

"Iris, we have to go to your fathers house today." Iris widened her eyes but nodded. She knew she had to go back and no one could control that. "But we won't be staying there," Xavier saw her go from tense to relaxed. She sighed with relief and hugged Xavier. He didn't hesitate and hugged her back while rubbing soothing circles on her back.

"Why are we going?" Iris pulled back from the hug. "Your father wants to 'meet you' and said he 'misses you.' I said yes because we could pack you up from there and bring you back here." He smiled reassuringly.

Iris slightly smiled back but she didn't want to see her father. She knew he would try to pull something. This little time without him was heaven. Going back would destroy that. She may never even get to see Xavier again. The thought scared her.

As if reading her mind, Xavier reassured her. "Don't worry. I'll be by your side and won't leave you alone." Iris eased up and nodded. He kissed her forehead and took her inside. Maria was done cooking and served them delicious breakfast. Both Iris and Xavier ate.

Xavier and Iris thanked Maria and left the penthouse. "Let's take the Lamborghini." Xavier winked at Iris. She laughed and rolled her eyes. Xavier stopped walking and pinned her against the Lamborghini. "Don't ever roll your eyes at me. There will be consequences." Iris was shocked but nodded. He kissed her cheek and they both got into the Lamborghini. Iris gasped as she entered. It was beautiful. She loved the color.

Xavier chuckled as usual and drove off

Xavier chuckled as usual and drove off. He revved the engine which caused Iris to let out a squeal. They both laughed and went to Iris's school. Iris sighed and got out of the car with Xavier. "This is my destination. School ends at 2:30pm." Xavier nodded and kissed her forehead. She waved at him as he left.

Everyone had eyes on Iris as they saw her get out of the purple Lamborghini, but she didn't care. She went into school and went to first period, math. The day went on as usual and she hung out with Alivia and explained her fake reasoning for not picking up the phone and worrying her.

"Why didn't you tell me your dog died?" Alivia pouted sadly. Iris shrugged and said she didn't want to worry her. They both talked and went on with the dreadful high school day.

_

School ended as Iris was waiting for Xavier to pick her up. She called him and he said he would be there in five. She was at the main entrance of school where she got dropped off. Everyone was waiting for their rides as others were driving off in their own. Xavier came and Iris got into the car. They both drove off to Sam's house.

Iris hoped that this would go well.
