Iris POV

It was around ten at night when the doorbell rung. Xavier went to get the door while I sat on the couch.

We were watching Black Panther. I've watched this movie about five times now and still do. Xavier says that he's not the type of person to watch movies. I rolled my eyes at that.

Xavier opened the door and I looked over to see Mathew. I blinked to see if my eyes were deceiving me; they weren't.

Mathew?! How the fuck is he here? I gasped as I came running towards the door. "Iris!" He shouted in an excited tone. I hugged him as he hugged me back. His familiar cologne was evident and I smiled at the fact that he still wore it.

My mind couldn't comprehend exactly what was happening but I have to say, I'm excited to see Mathew since it's been such a long time since I've last seen him.

He had flowers in his hands and gave them to me. I thanked him and looked over at Xavier who had an angry and confusing expression on his face. His fists were clenched so tightly I could see them turn white from the pressure.

I guess I have some explaining to do.

"Iris, who is this?" Xavier asked trying to stay calm. How do I explain this to him? And why is he so mad?

"Why don't we sit and talk?" I asked clearly sensing the tension. Both men nodded and we went towards the dining table.

I sat next to Xavier while Mathew sat across from us. Xavier didn't look away from Mathew. He was shooting daggers right through his face. "Xavier?" I asked trying to start this off. I placed my hand over his under the table and he looked at me while his gaze softened.

"Iris, who is this?" Mathew asked this time, looking straight at me then at Xavier. Oh shit. "Umm well t-this is," I stuttered trying to explain.

I hadn't seen Mathew in a very long time and it was hard explaining these things to him. I didn't even know Mathew would come to visit me in a time like this but I guess I'll ask him about it later. My answer won't be very east to understand because Mathew and I haven't seen each other in a long time. I don't expect him to understand this situation well.

"My soon to be wife." Xavier answered for me and said that with such ease. I looked at him with my eyes widened. Why?

"Y-yeah," I said clearly uncomfortable. Xavier looked at me confused. "What?" Mathew asked confused as well. I sat there not knowing what to do. What do I do?

"Mathew this is Xavier, my soon to be husband." Xavier's lips curved up into a smirk as I acknowledged him like that. I can't believe this man!

"Since when were you getting married?!" Shouted Mathew with some sort of hurt written all over his face. Well I fucked up. I should have told him earlier. But I didn't even know he was coming to meet me after all this time. But why is he mad? Shouldn't he be... happy for me?

"Hey! Do not shout at her!" Xavier quickly growled at him with a snarl.

"Guys, please calm down. Let me explain everything." I exclaimed. They both looked at me and nodded hesitantly.

"So three days ago," I started off by telling Mathew everything that had happened in the last three days. He was shocked and angry that my father and Xavier would do something like this. Xavier and Mathew looked at each other like they were going to rip each others head off. Clearly they didn't since I was sitting there. No one else knew except Xavier and I about what was happening to me over the last three years, therefore Mathew didn't know. And I intend to keep it that way. I don't want to tell him either. I might tell him in the future but not now.
