Third Person POV
The next two days went by smoothly as Iris got to know more about Martin and Mary.
She talked to Martin and figured out that he felt ashamed for having a daughter in law who was forced into marriage not by love. Iris understood and told him that she was falling in love with Xavier. He lightened up and talked to Iris more frequently but Iris couldn't fully crack his shell. There was something he was hiding.
Today Martin, Taylor, and Xavier were going shopping for the wedding. Iris and Mary will take Maria with them for their shopping.
They sent the invitations to Alivia, Marcus, Olivia, Mathew and of course Sam. Alivia was obviously shocked and surprised that Iris was going to get married. They were going to meet up at the mall today and talk about everything that has happened. As for Mathew he decided he won't be coming. Iris didn't think much of it.
Iris had told Marcus and Olivia over the phone about the whole situation. They weren't happy and wanted to kill Sam for doing something like this. But they tried calming down knowing that Iris was falling in love.
"I'm glad you handled the situation very well," said Maria snapping Iris out of her thoughts. Iris slightly smiled and nodded as they were walking inside the mall. Mary was talking to someone on the phone about the wedding dress. "That's perfect! Bye," and with that Mary dragged them both into the food arena.
"Your wedding dress will arrive tomorrow. As for the bridesmaids, they will have theirs delivered tomorrow as well."
"Thank you Mary," Iris replied. "Oh it's nothing! I love helping out especially during weddings," exclaimed Mary happily. Iris laughed at Mary's enthusiasm.
She immediately recognized Alivia sitting down at a table fiddling with her fingers. She ran towards her as Mary and Maria laughed behind.
She sneaked up on her trying to lighten up the tension which will come later on."Boo!" Iris yelled causing Alivia to jump up startled. Alivia rested her hand on top of her heart as Iris bursted out laughing. "You scared the living crap out of me," sighed Alivia and stood up as they both hugged each other.
"You better explain everything now missy," snapped Alivia as they both sat down. Mary and Maria were sitting down at another table so Iris and Alivia could have some privacy.
"I know. I'm sorry fo-" but before she could apologize Alivia interrupted. "Cut the bullshit Iris. Everything is in the past and I know you felt uncomfortable sharing it with me which is totally fine." Iris nodded and sighed in relief knowing that Alivia understood.
She cleared her throat and began telling Alivia what had happened to her when she was fifteen and everything that led to this day.
"And that's why I was to scared to tell you about this," sighed Iris. She was happy that now Alivia knows the truth and it wouldn't bring up any tension or be bottled up anymore. Alivia hugged Iris as she was in tears at the end of the story.
"I have one more thing to tell you," Iris said pulling back. Alivia wiped her tears and nodded in confusion. "I'm pregnant!" Alivia's eyes widened as she squealed happily. "Say sike right now," she whispered as it finally hit her that her best friend was pregnant.
Iris chuckled and shook her head as they both hugged each other. "I'll be an aunt! Wait! Does this mean you did the dirty?" Asked Alivia smirking and clearly knowing the answer. Iris blushed as she playfully hit Alivia's shoulder.
The rest of their time at the mall Iris and Alivia caught up on a few things as Mary and Maria soon joined them and they all ate.
