Finn's POV:

When I arrived at the Resistance base I ran out of the Millennium Falcon and look around to my environment. Large grass mounds covering hangars and oddly shaped giant trees is what I noticed the most. So this is D'Qar.

I instantly become amazed by the amount of Resistance crew remembers. I would have never thought there were this many people in the Resistance. I knew they existed, but their base has always been very well hidden from the First Order which I guess is a good thing.

I stand there for a second not sure of who I am exactly looking for, after all, I don't know anyone from the Resistance. Suddenly BB-8 speeds right past me almost knocking me down and I can't help but follow the small droid with my gaze.

BB-8 rushes towards a Resistance pilot who is getting out of his black X-Wing, and when the pilot takes his helmet off took me no time to realize who he was. It was Poe, the Resistance pilot I helped escape from the First Order.

I can't believe it, he somehow made it alive after the crash landing we had back in Jakku. I look at him as he kneels down to BB-8 clearly very happy to be reunited with his droid. I noticed that BB-8 is telling him something but I can't tell exactly what is it, but suddenly Poe turns and looks in my direction.

"Poe," I say and start running in his direction and he stands up doing the same. "Poe Dameron, you're alive?" I say in disbelief and finally reach him as he gives me a warm hug.

"Buddy!" He replies and pats my back quickly pushing away from the hug. I could tell he had as many questions as I did. "So are you!" He said.

"What happened?" I ask him wanting to know how he made it out of Jakku I truly thought he was dead.

"What happened? I got thrown from the crash, woke up at night. No you, no ship, nothing." Poe says almost running out of the air from talking so fast. "BB-8 says that you saved him." He finally says as the small droid stands beside us looking at both of us.

"No, no, no. It wasn't just me." I say to him. I really didn't want to take all the credit since Rey was the first to find and help BB-8.

"You completed my mission, Finn—" He starts thanking me when suddenly he gets distracted by something. "That's my jacket?" He suddenly says.

I look down at it realizing this whole time I've been wearing his jacket so I should probably give it back to him. "Oh, here." I say as I start to take it off and he stops me.

"No, no, no. Keep it. It suits you." He says stopping me from taking off the jacket. "You're a good man, Finn." He suddenly says giving me a pat in my shoulder and at that moment I realized that he might be able to help me rescue Rey.

"Poe, I need your help." I say to him really hoping he would be willing to help me.

"What is it, buddy?" He asks a bit concerned. He knows where I come from and he knows I was trying to get as far away as I could from the First Order but this time my plans are completely different.

"A friend of mine. She got taken prisoner by the First Order and I feel extremely guilty about it. I need to save her as fast as I can she could be in danger and—" I say urgency being clear in my tone.

"Easy buddy! Calm down, I'll see what we can do. Follow me." Poe suddenly says interrupting me and I instantly shut up.

I nod my head at Poe as he starts walking towards one of the hangars and I follow behind him closely. We suddenly reach a staircase that was covered by vines and roots and walk down into some sort of makeshift command center that was buried deep down.
