Finn's POV:
Time passed by, and before I know it I am inside the Millenium Falcon traveling at lightspeed with Han and Chewie. Our destination being Starkiller base. If someone told me back when I arrived to Takodana that I would be going back to Starkiller I would have never believed them. But now, here I am with the Resistance. But the truth is that I am only doing this for Rey.
"How are we getting in?" I ask Han.
"Their shields have a fractional refresh rate. Keeps anything traveling slower than lightspeed from getting through." He replies and I look back at him horrified.
"We're gonna make our landing approach at lightspeed?!" I ask as if he was crazy and Chewie growls answering my question.
"Alright, Chewie, get ready." Han says as Chewie groans again confirming he is Ready. Han starts pressing some buttons and Chewie does too. "And now!" Han says and pulls the switch that turns off the lightspeed revealing that we managed to get through their shields successfully now the downside is that we are about to crash into the snowy rocky ground.
I look at everything happening in front of my eyes. I just hope this isn't how I die. Han and Chewie somehow managed to pull up the Millenium Falcon and not having us crash into the rocks but instead we went right through the forest knocking every single tree that is in our way.
The alarms of the ship start to blare and Han does his best to steer the ship up a bit higher than the trees. Suddenly Chewie growls wanting Han to fly higher.
"If I get any higher, they'll see us!" Han replies to Chewie and the Falcon dives back into the trees. When unexpectedly we get out of the forest and the ship slams into the snow digging through thousands of yards until it finally stops half-buried into the snow.
As soon as I feel the ship stop I look over at Han and Chewie who are looking at each other still in a state of shock, but no one says a thing. They unbuckle from their seats and rush out of the falcon after all we don't have too much time. I follow behind them and once we are all out I look over at Han as he looks at his ship that is half-buried into the snow but the damage is minimal. I truly don't understand how.
"It could be worse." He says analyzing his ship and then looks around at his surroundings. "Come on!" He says and starts running to a structure that isn't too far away and I instantly recognize what it is.
When we reach the structure we take cover behind one of the walls and make sure no one is around us. "The flooding tunnels are over that ridge. We'll get in that way." I say pointing to one of the many structures around us.
"What was your job when you were based here?" Han all of a sudden asks.
"Sanitation." I reply not making a huge deal about it since that was the truth. I was a cadet and every single cadet had a minor job inside the base, sanitation being my job. After getting promoted to a full-fledged stormtrooper everyone got assigned a new job, this new job was usually of more value. Unfortunately, I never got to know mine. After all, when I got promoted I was instantly deployed to Jakku to the mission that changed my life.
I suddenly feel someone grab me by the back of the neck and push me into the cold structure. "Sanitation?" Han says holding me back. He is pissed. "Then how do you know how to disable the shields?"
"I don't. I'm just here to get Rey." I say to him being 100% honest. My main priority is Rey.
"People are counting on us! The galaxy is counting on us!" Han says to me raising his tone I can tell he is angry. But if I were to tell everyone I didn't know how to disable the shields I wouldn't be here in the first place.
