Chapter 25: Eyewitness

Drake's Point of View

Finally we've reach our country, the Philippines. It's been 1 day ride from Paris going to Philippines. I am super excited to see my family, friends and of course my long long time crush. Paris brought us more memories, but it has been solved. Draine is now totally okay.

This woman besides me held my hand. I didn't want to come on her side, it's a freakin' awkward. Pero wala naman akong magagawa pa, it's my mom's will therefore the son must follow whatever they want us to be. As if naman parang anak ako ng babaeng ito kasi kung makahawak siya sa kamay ko ay agmimistulang ako ay isang biological son niya.

Lumakad na kami palabas ng terminal and waiting for some taxi to grab us. Medyo malayo pa naman ang bahay namin mula rito. When my dad found 2 taxis, we got to go inside of it para umpisahan na ang biyahe. I wondered a lot in my mind why dad didn't accompanied us instead he is in the other taxi with Ate Kizzy. As in sila lang dalawa sa sasakyan.

I secretly steal a glance to my mom but her reaction was nothing. Parang normal lang ang emosyon niya ngayon. It doesn't make any changes, or getting mad to them. Siguro nga daddy will never do that. He once committed an enormous mistakes to us that's why he would never do that again.

Ibinaling ko nalang ang tingin ko rito sa gilid ng sasakyan. Watching those buildings, children, and people outside. Parang ang saya lang kasi nilang naglalakad sa tabi ng kalsada.

"Drake." Mom calls me. Marahan ko namang ibinaling ang aking tingin sa kanya. "Yes, mom?" I ask. Nakita ko siyang inabot sa'kin ang isang Nova. I smiled suddenly because this is one of my favorite.

"Thanks." Hindi ko palang naabot ang chicheria ay nagpasalamat na ako kay mommy. I love to eat this, so excited to bite this crunchy.

Pagkatapos kong inabot ang Nova mula kay mommy ay agad ko naman itong binuksan. I can't wait to eat them. When I bited it I hear the brittle sounding a crunchy one. Napakalutong ng chicheryang ito. While I'm enjoying eating Nova I used to watch people outside the car. Nahuhumaling ako sa mga taong masayang nagtitinda sa labas.

"Look! Hey look outside!" I shouted as I am informing them that there are people who make chaos outside.

Kinakabahan akong nanonood sa mga taong nagpuputukan ng baril at nagsusuntukan. Mabuti nga ay nakalagpas na kami mula sa gulo kaya ligtas na kami ngayon. I saw their faces full of blood, bodies of them were hit by guns. There's even no Police Men who roamed around to stop them.

Nang malayo na kami sa gulo ay inilipat ko na ang tingin ko rito sa harapan. Draine is playing IQ test at parang gusto ko rin itong guluhin. Tinignan ko muna ang scores niya she doesn't have any mistakes or incorrect answers. Nakita ko ang tanong kaya pinindot ko ang maling sagot nito.

"What the f*ck, why did you tap that wrong answer?" She angrily yelled at me so I chuckled quietly. "Do you think it's funny?" Galit niyang tanong ulit sa'kin. She looks ridiculous.

"Wait--- I didn't mean it. I thought that was the right answer." Pagdadahilan ko. Hindi ko maiwasang tumawa ng marahan. "Right answer? You're so idiot. Ang bobo mo!" Sigaw niya sa aking harapan. Halatang galit na galit na nga siya sa'kin.

"That's why I am saying sorry. Don't you want to accept it?" I changed my tone into pitiful one. Parang hindi na kasi maibabalik pa ang normal na mukha niya dahil balot na balot na ito ng poot.

"How could I accept when it wasn't the hardest question. It's Sigmund Freud the father of modern psychology." Natamimi ako rito sa aking inuupuan watching her sulking and shouting in front of me. Hindi siya mabiro that's the fucking thing I don't like from her. She's too serious about her life. Ohhw God sadyang mahirap na talaga makahanap ng taong sasabay sa'yo.
