Chapter 27: My Valentine

Steven's Point of View

I will never forget this day, February 14 and it's friday. This is really important day for me because today will be the special day of ours. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang posibleng mangyari ngayong araw. I don't have any assurance about this thing, if it worked out or not. But of course trying will help me get closer to what I am wanting for. It's not a matter of what may happen in the next. It is all bout how you show yourself braver. Well, I'm super-duper excited, dating someone you love is such a greatest achievent you'll ever achieved. 'Yan kasi ang nagpapakita na mahal mo ang isang tao bukod sa dadalhin mo siya sa altar at ihaharap sa diyos.

I heard someone knocking the door. I just tell whoever that person outside to open the door as I am signing lots of papers and proposals. Masyado kasing marami ang mga papeles na umabot dito sa opisina ko. I have to check those papers delebirately.

"Have a seat." Mahinang sabi ko sa kanya. "Sir, everything is all fine. Venues, flowers, foods and your suits are now ready---" She said while beaming her face. She's Lara Lina, my personal secretary. "May ipapadagdag ka pa po ba sir?" She asked.

"Since it's all fixed. I think that's enough." Sagot ko sa kanya at binigyan ng magandang ngiti. Ipinaubaya ko sa kanya lahat ng magaganap ngayong araw. From day one up to now siya 'yung nagmomonitor para sa planong ito.

"Okay Sir, thank you." Mahinang giit niya at sabay tumayo palabas. "You help me a lot, I should be the one to say that." Sabi ko sa kanya na nag-umpisang tumayo para lumabas ng opisina.

"No Sir, no I'm your employee. What ever you say shall be done." Wika niya at sabay binigyan ako ng napakagandang kindat ng kanyang kabilang mata.

"Well, Happy Valentines Day." I said in a low low voice, stopping my pen to signed this paper in front of me.

Lumabas na nang tuluyan si Lara. May ibang personal pa siyang gagawin. Hindi naman masyadong mahirap ang trabaho niya dahil binibigyan ko lang siya ng magagaang trabaho at 'yun ay tagahatid lang siya ng impormasyon galing sa mga meeting na dinadaluhan niya. That's how I show love to my employees, giving them the true value of being a worker.

I'm done reading and signing these papers. Naghihintay nalang ako sa update ni Lara. It's too early to go to the venue. But honestly, I can't truly wait. Hindi na ako mapakali rito sa aking inu-upuan na makita ang aking mahal. I want her now pero nga hindi ba sabi nila love can wait. Kaya kailangan kong maghintay kahit gaano ka tagal pa man iyan. I ate my snacks and did not eat my lunch. Labis kasi ang kaba ang aking nararamdaman ngayon.

I have 1 hour and 30 minutes bago ko sisimulan ang panunuyo sa babaeng matagal ko ng gusto. I have to take my bath now and rinse my body. I want myself look like a king, and a man like Romeo. Time is running, kaya kailangan ko ng maghanda para mamaya. After taking my bath ay tumungo na ako sa kwarto para magbihis. I scrubbed my head using my towel and waiting for it to dry. And start brushing my white teeth. Dumating na rin kasi ang make-up artist ko ngayon. He came up the stairs and I don't care about my suit---I'm totally topless besides they are just gays, wala naman silang gagawin sa'kin.

"Oh my Ged. Girl, ngayon lang ako nakakakita ng isang talong na kasing laki ng opo." Palihim na wika ng isang bakla na kulay dilaw ang buhok nito. I don't mind it, bakla nga 'di ba? It's natural for them.

"Kaya nga mare ehh. Parang siya lang talaga ang lalaking magdadala sa'kin na lalagpas sa langit." The other gay whispered. "Itigil na nga natin ito, baka marinig pa niya tayo." The yellow-headed gay whispered back as if naman hindi ko sila naririnig.

"Let's start." The gay named allison asks me formally. I just nodded at him at inumpisahan na nga nila ang pag-aayos sa mukha ko.

They are so funny, they made some funny jokes while working on my face. Hindi ko maiwasang matawa sa mga biro nilang dalawa. Well, gays are good, they made the world more meaningful. I stan them, I respect them wholly. Without them, life is so boring. Kaya nga mas gusto ko pa 'yung mga bakla kesa sa mga babaeng binibenta ang sarili para makapera lang. Well everybody has its different story. Hindi ko kailangang husgahan sila, maybe they have deep reasons that all people should understand. Hindi natin alam ang rason kung bakit nila ginagawa iyun, maybe they were rape victims kaya nalang nila ipinagpatuloy ang ganyang trabaho because they think their life had no value anymore.

"Perfecto! Mas lalo ka pang gumagwapo ngayon, Sir Steven." I looked my self calmly. Bagay sa'kin ang make up. I do look good-looking today.

Tumayo ako at tumungo sa lamesa. May nagti-txt na kasi sa'kin. I open my phone and excitingly read the message. Hinintay na ako sa labas ni Lara. Handa na rin kasi ang babae magiging kadate ko ngayon. And it was a succesful plan dahil hindi alam ni Eya na ako ang magiging kadate niya ngayon. I've sent her a bouquet of flowers sa bahay nila. At ngayon tapos na raw siyang magbihis at namake-upan. She had no idea who will be this man behind this date. I want to surprise her.

"Let's go!" Saad ko sa dalawa habang hinihintay silang nagliligpit ng mga gamit.

Nang matapos na silang magligpit ay sabay na kaming lumabas ng kwarto. We walk down the stairs with much smile on our face. They are also excited about me. They even motivated me. I closed the door and drawn nearer to Lara, who's standing in front my house. Hindi na kasi siya pumasok pa ng kwarto dahil gusto niya na maaga kaming makakapunta sa venue.

"Hey, how is it?" Tanong ko sa kanya. "It's fine. Kailangan nating maka-abot by 6:30. Eya is there, waiting for the man who will be her Valentino." Lara said.

"Okay thanks. I'm super excited to see her." Ani ko sa kanya. "Me too." She replied.

Ilang metro nalang makaka-abot na kami. Habang papalapit ng papalapit ang kotse ay mas lalong pumipintig nang malakas ang puso ko. But excitement is still dominant than what I felt.

"We're here. Are you ready?" Giit ni Lara sa'kin habang tumingin sa'kin nang nakangiti. "Yeah, I'm always ready." I took a deep breath before going outside of this car.

"This will going to be a successful date." Bulong ko sa aking sarili at pagkatapos ay lumabas na ng sasakyan.

We walked to the venue and saw her wearing her red dress. She looks so lovely and beautiful. She waited me with a big smile. As the music starts to play, my hearts melt too. I held a bouquet of flowers and come near to her. This is really a romantic place for us.

"Ohh my God. Is this true?" She asks me. She can't believe that I could do this to her. Nakita ko ang totoong ngiti sa kanyang labi. "Yes, it's true." Eya began to cry. Ramdam ko ang saya na nararamdaman niya ngayon.

"I didn't expect this. I have no idea of whose plan is this. I'm glad dahil ang isang crush ko noon dinate ako ngayon." Nakangiti ako habang pinakinggan siya.

"Can you be my Valentine?" I asked her. "Of course, my dear crush." I pulled her leisurely and romantically kiss her left side cheek.

Hindi naman nagbago ang tingin namin sa isa't isa. May nangyari na sa pagitan namin ni Eya. And I know she is no longer love her husband because of being a womanizer. Umupo na kami ng sabay at tumingin sa isa't isa.

"Thank you for letting me do this plan." I said. "Eya, there's a one question I always kept."

"What is it?" She asked and smiled. "Would you let me love you?" Tanong ko sa kanya. I am so sure about her answer dahil ngumiti lang siya sa'kin.

"Do you love me?" I asked again. "Yes! Yes Steven." Biglang sumabog ang mundo ko nang marinig ko ang sagot niya.

"She loves me! She loves me! Thanks God!" I shouted all over again.

Mahal na mahal ko si Eya. I wanted to be her husband. And this day is a special day for me. She made my day.

"I love you." Giit ko. "I love you too, Stev." She kissed my lips so I kissed her back.
