I bolted straight out the door hitting the ground ground to cover as much distance as possible. I quickly turned around remembering to lock the door. Started once more, I just wasted another 30 seconds for no reason. I missed the bus yet again I was late of course no surprise there but today was different. Never have I ever been this late, and all the other times I still managed to make it to school on time.  College was eating me alive with the amount of stress it gave me.

Normally colleges have dorms but I attended a public college. There for I had to be here on time for classes each and everyday. I rounded the bakery pallor, making sure to stop there after school to relax a little.

With the top on the school appearing into distance I sped up to insure I get there on time. My backpack jumped against me with every step I took.

Just about a block away I heard I school bell ring violently across the city. It rings every day to tell the city it is 8:30 and school starts soon.

Shoot. I had only 5 more minutes to reach school. I saw some a bike in the distance just up ahead. Who ever it was, I was going to 'borrow' it.

Without hesitant I hoped on the bike speeding away.

"Hey! My bike!" I heard someone yell. Oops.

Just outside of the school gate, I threw the back to the grass and raced to the door. I had to be on time or else I will get suspended. Just as I reached school door, the bell tardy bell rung through my ears. But a piece of paper caught my attention. It read:

'School closed for Memorial Day. Remember our Troops.'

The End.
