Positives and Negatives {Sonourge}

SIXTEEN

__Sonic and Scourge were carefully sneaking around the perimeter of Dr. Eggman's main base. There were many robots either standing or walking around the building or flying around overhead. Sonic could tell Scourge had done something like this before. He was being more cautious than Sonic. But with Sonic, he had broken into Eggman's base too many times, so he basically knew what to expect.
__Sonic stopped behind a bush and looked at the building. He examined it and saw an opening on the side over fifty feet up. He motioned Scourge to stay where he was. There were flying robots hovering over the opening. When they left, Sonic took this opportunity and used his super-speed to run up the building. As soon as he was standing in the opening, he pressed his back against the wall as more of the flying robots came to hover over him. He held his breath until they left. Sonic exhaled and motioned to Scourge to follow.
__Scourge used his super-speed as well to run up the wall. When he stood next in the opening, Sonic quickly grabbed his arm and pulled him to the wall. Scourge was about to speak when Sonic covered his mouth and they watched more robots come into view. When they left, Sonic let go of Scourge and started walking down the hall of the opening.
__"So, what's the plan?" Scourge whispered. "Please don't tell me you're making it up as you go."
__Sonic kept his eyes focused down the hall just in case as he replied. "We're going to sneak past all security until we find Eggman. I want to make sure he's alone before I question him."
__"Question him?" Scourge snorted. "You expect that man to just answer your questions willingly!?"
__Sonic shook his head. "Of course not. I'm going to make him."
__"How?"
__"Well, first, I want to cut off his connection to his robots."
__"Again, how!?"
__"Eggman has this big computer watch on his arm," Sonic explained. "He doesn't know that we have this info, but the big computers he has are meant to be a decoy since he knows we can break in no problem. The watch he wears is the real computer. I want to get it away from him before I ask questions."
__"Do I even need to say it?" Scourge sneered.
__"Like I said, we need to make sure he's alone. Thanks to Tails, I know how to get it away from him."
__Scourge seemed to be expecting Sonic to continue as he stayed silent, but Sonic didn't. "Aren't you going to tell me how?"
__Sonic looked at Scourge and smirked as he shook his head. "I want you to be amazed."
__Scourge rolled his eyes. "Jackass."
__Sonic let out a small chuckle before he stopped walking. There was a long drop in front of him. Sonic examined the hole. He couldn't see the bottom; it was just a black shadow.
__Scourge stopped and stared into the hole. "Is that it? Does it even have a bottom!?"
__"Yes." Sonic gave no warning as he jumped down into the hole. He heard Scourge yell after him as he fell down the hole. When Sonic was able to see the ground, he curled up into a ball and pushed himself into the wall where he was able to roll down it safely. When Sonic hit the ground, he untucked himself and looked around. It was one of Eggman's labs, except it was empty. No robots in sight. Sonic stood up and started dusting himself off. "You'd think Eggman would at least redesign a lab he wouldn't use anymore," He then looked up the hole. "Probably should've told Scourge how to get down here." He started to get worried. "Oh no." 
__A green ball then rolled down the wall quickly. It stopped at the bottom and continued to roll in place until it bounced up and rammed itself into Sonic. Sonic fell back about five feet and hit his quills on the ground. He sat up with a grunt and watched the green sphere untuck and reveal Scourge. He was mad.
__"The fuck is wrong with you!?" He sneered. "You can't just do that!"
__Sonic stood up and grunted again as he started rubbing his stomach. "You can't just hit me either!" He retorted.
__"That's what you get!" Scourge huffed.
__Sonic rolled his eyes before examining the lab. He saw an open vent over one of the cabinets, its cover sitting on top of them. "Something tells me that's where Tails and Ant went when they snuck in," Sonic inferred. "Come on." Sonic ran over and spin dashed up onto the cabinet. He went inside the vent and crawled in more until Scourge was in. Sonic motioned with his head to go forward and started crawling through the vent.

__It didn't take long to find the room Eggman was in, and Sonic had to keep himself from shivering in disgust. Eggman was in his bathroom. He wasn't naked or anything, but the thought made Sonic want to throw himself off a cliff. Eggman was just standing in front of a mirror, admiring his mustache. Next to the sink was his big computer watch. It was off, but if you were to touch the screen, it would turn on so it would be easy to call a robot army.
__Sonic had to change his plan a bit now. He's not wearing it, so this'll be easy. Hopefully. Aw man! That means I can't amaze Scourge. He thought jokingly. Sonic moved ahead of the vent and carefully turned around to face Scourge as he crawled up to him. Sonic just pointed at Scourge and then at the watch.
__Scourge nodded and didn't even hesitate as he busted through the vent and landed on the ground. Eggman yelled out as Scourge ran over and grabbed the watch. When it was in his grasp, he kept his distance from Eggman.
__Sonic jumped down and crossed his arms as he glared at Eggman. "Well hey there, Egghead! Good to see you! How have you been?"
__Eggman just stared at the two hedgehogs in fear. He wouldn't be able to leave this room since the watch controlled every door, and it was in Scourge's hands. Eggman backed up into the door and glared back at the hedgehogs. "What do you want from me!? How dare you break in!"
__"Relax, Eggman," Sonic began. "I just want to ask some questions without any trouble."
__Scourge stood next to Sonic. He had a tight grip on the watch and his glasses had fallen over his eyes. He wore a scowl on his face.
__Eggman growled as he crossed his skinny arms. "Pests! I'm not even doing anything!" He then looked over at Scourge. "Since when did you start working with him?"
__"Since your robot killed Fiona!" Sonic snapped.
__"What!?" Eggman looked confused. "What robot!?"
__"Don't give us that shit!" Scourge sneered. 
__"Fiona was able to speak to me and she told me an Eggman robot killed her," Sonic explained while trying not to sound mad. 
__Eggman was silent before he started rubbing his forehead. "Well, I don't know what's going on, but one of my newer robots did escape after it was completed."
__Sonic straightened. "When?"
__Eggman was quiet as he pondered. "I'd say about...a month ago. I've been looking for it since it somehow figured out how to remove its chip."
__"What chip?" Scourge asked.
__"The chip that allows me to see where it is on my map!" Eggman replied in an annoyed tone. "Duh!"
__Sonic tightened his fists as he continued to glare at Eggman. "What does it look like?"
__Eggman was silent.
__Sonic then growled. "What does is look like!?" He yelled.
__Eggman looked away. "Like you," He muttered.
__Sonic flattened his ears. "Metal Sonic?"
__Eggman shook his head. "I said it was new. This was supposed to be better than Metal Sonic, but it ran away. It looks more like you than Metal Sonic anyway."
__Scourge took a step forward. "Does it have claws?"
__Eggman nodded. "Three big ones as its fingers. I tried making them like how that echidna's shovel claws are."
__"Shovel claws?" Sonic said worriedly. He shook his head and looked down at his feet. So, it's a runaway robot that looks like me and has three big claws. The only question now is where is it? He looked at Scourge and nodded. "That's it. Give it back."
__"You want me to give this back to the fat man!?" Scourge exclaimed.
__"Just do it," Sonic sighed. "We need to head back."
