Positives and Negatives {Sonourge}

TWENTY-ONE

__The next day, Sonic was able to talk a little bit. If he talked for too long, though, his throat would start to ache in pain. There were certain positions Sonic couldn't sit or lie down since it hurt his chest. Even moving around would hurt a bit. Scourge was still staying with Sonic. He would make food for Sonic and prepared his shower for him. Scourge had been rather clingy since they got home. If Sonic sat on the couch, he would be there. If Sonic was at the dining table, he'd be there, too. Even if Sonic was in the bathroom, Scourge would wait patiently by the door. But Sonic didn't mind it all. He loved it.
__It was night and Sonic was lying in bed, watching his digital clock change every minute while grasping his bandana tightly. He could feel Scourge's presence in the room. He was sitting on the edge of the bed. Sonic was extremely tired. He wanted to sleep, but something kept him awake. His ears then twitched and he looked over his shoulder to see that Scourge had laid down next to him with his back facing his. Sonic turned his whole body and stared at Scourge. "What are you doing?" He muttered.
__"Shut up and sleep," Scourge replied tiredly. 
__Sonic smiled and scooted closer to Scourge, being careful not to touch him. He closed his eyes and breathed in Scourge's scent. It soothed him. He could finally sleep now.

__Sonic woke up and felt weight on him. As his vision cleared he saw that Scourge was facing him and had his arm wrapped around him. Sonic's forehead was brushed up against Scourge's chin. He smiled as he shut his eyes and snuggled his forehead against Scourge. This is nice. He probably didn't mean to, though. Oh well. He still did it.
__Scourge started moving and he looked down at Sonic as he opened his eyes and he looked up at Scourge. Scourge's eyes went wide as he sat up and moved away from Sonic, but that caused a bit of pain in Sonic's chest, which made him grunt in agony. Scourge flattened his ears and went back to put a hand on Sonic's arm. "Sorry. Didn't mean to hurt you."
__Sonic grinned and managed to let out a little chuckle. "It's all right. I'm okay," He sat up and started rubbing his nose. "I'm not as helpless as you." Sonic smirked when Scourge narrowed his eyes.
__"You're lucky you're injured," Scourge said in a half threatening, half-joking tone. "I'd beat your ass again."
__Sonic stuck his tongue out. "Meh!"
__Scourge rolled his eyes and grinned. He then stood up and started stretching. "I'll make you breakfast." He started walking out of the bedroom and shut the door behind him.
__Sonic flattened his ears and sighed. This is nice and all, but what about Super Metal Sonic? I need to find him. He made the mistake of not finishing me off, so I know what to expect from him. Sonic stood up and rolled his shoulder back. Even if my throat and chest hurt, I can still run. That's all I need. He was about to walk out when he saw a purple light flashing from the cracks of his drawer. He went to open it and saw it was the Chaos Emerald that was flashing. He grabbed the emerald and watched as the light continued to flicker slowly. It felt like something was calling out to him. Without thinking, he whispered, "Chaos control."
__He dropped the emerald and backed up as a wave of purple energy left the gem and started swirling into a tiny twister. As it slowly went away, Fiona was standing in front of Sonic. But something was off. She was see-through and she was sparkling like a crystal. She smiled and crossed her arms as she tilted her head.
__Sonic shook his head and stared at Fiona, his jaw now gaping. "What are you doing here? How are you here?"
__Fiona continued to smile as her tail started swaying from side to side. "I had Tikal give me another, more better, chance to talk to you again. It seems like you've run into that robot."
__Sonic nodded. "I did. It nearly killed me, too. But I don't see why you're here. I already know what the robot looks like and how it lures people in."
__"I know," Fiona replied softly. "I've been watching you."
__"You...you have?" Sonic backed up a bit.
__Fiona nodded. "Yes, and I'm relieved you found Scourge and took him in. And I believe you'll make Scourge happy."
__Sonic perked his ears. "Really? You're not mad that I like your boyfriend?"
__"I'm dead, Sonic," Fiona pointed out. "I'm no longer his girlfriend, and he deserves to move on. I've seen the way Scourge looks at you now. Spoiler alert, he does like you." Fiona smirked and narrowed her eyes.
__"And you're absolutely fine with this?" Sonic questioned.
__Fiona giggled as she started walking closer to Sonic. "Yes! For crying out loud!" Her eyes softened when she stopped walking. "Also, I'm sorry for the way I treated you; how I used you. You deserve to be happy."
__"This doesn't sound like you at all," Sonic said with a smile.
__"Yeah, I know! Bleh!" Fiona laughed. "Being dead has changed me."
__Sonic was about to speak when Scourge walked in. He was about to speak as well until he saw Fiona. His eyes were wide with shock. He shook his head and started backing up.
__Fiona turned around and walked up to Scourge. "Hey, hon," He spoke softly. "Good to see you're thriving."
__Scourge looked like he was too shocked to even move. "How are you...?"
__Fiona shook her head and leaned in to whisper something in Scourge's ear. When she was done, she leaned back and Scourge nodded. She then hugged Scourge before she walked back over to Sonic. She picked up the Chaos Emerald and handed it to Sonic. "It's time for you to send me back now."
__Sonic stared at the emerald and shook his head. "I don't want to just send you back. You're here now."
__Fiona rolled her eyes. "I can't stay here forever. I need to go back."
__Sonic reluctantly took the Chaos Emerald and took a second to look at Fiona. "You will be avenged."
__"I know. It's fucking two Sonics against one robot!" Fiona giggled.
__Sonic grinned before he sighed and whispered, "Chaos control." He watched Fiona wave as she vanished, leaving sparkles in the air until they slowly went away. Sonic put the emerald back in the drawer and walked over to Scourge. "You okay? What did she tell you?"
__Scourge smiled as he crossed his arms. "Go eat. I'll tell you tonight."
__Sonic obeyed and started walking to the dining table. Fiona really went through all that trouble just for that, huh? Sonic sighed as he sat down at the dining table and looked out the window. I'll miss you, Fiona. I'll continue to take care of Scourge for you.
