__Sonic had been anxious for the rest of the day. He wanted to know what Fiona had told Scourge. He hadn't been pestering Scourge about it, but he saved his voice for that night. He was still shocked by Fiona's appearance and what she told him. He would never have guessed that she was watching them and accepted that Sonic loved Scourge. He was glad, though, because Fiona had said Scourge liked him. He didn't tell Scourge about it, though.
__Sonic was sitting on his bed, playing his white acoustic. He was playing the music from Count On Me and rather than singing, he was humming the words. Scourge was laying on the bed behind Sonic. He was smiling the whole time as he listened to the music and humming. Sonic was more than happy to be playing for Scourge again. This time he wasn't uncomfortable or nervous.
__While playing, Sonic looked at the clock and saw it was past seven. He stopped playing and set the guitar down as he looked at Scourge with a grin on his face. "It's basically night now."
__Scourge eyed him and smirked. "You're annoying, you know that?"
__"Hey, you're me," Sonic pointed out.
__Scourge rolled his eyes and sat up. "Don't remind me."
__Sonic sat on his knees and tilted his head. "Now what did Fiona tell you?"
__But Scourge shook his head. "I'm not telling you here," He then stood up and motioned Sonic to follow. "Come on."
__Sonic smiled as he stood up and followed Scourge out of the house. They walked through the city where people were still out and staring at them. As they walked, Sonic found that they were slowly moving to the shadows of the city. They then left the city into the small forest. Sonic knew where they were going and was excited.
__Scourge led Sonic to the rock wall and knelt down with his hands out and cupped together. He looked at Sonic and motioned with his head to his hands. Sonic looked up the rock wall before he carefully put one foot in Scourge's hands. Scourge then pushed him up and Sonic grabbed the top of the cliff. His chest stung as he pulled himself up and rolled over onto his back. He sat up and watched as Scourge climbed over and stood by Sonic. He helped Sonic stand up and led him to the pond. Sonic examined the pond and was surprised. He'd never seen this area at night and it was much more beautiful.
__"Sit," Scourge commanded as he pointed at the boulder.
__Sonic stifled a snicker as he sat down on the boulder. "What am I, a dog?"
__"Well, you do eat like one," Scourge teased.
__"Hey!"
__Scourge then sat down in front of Sonic and took a moment to look at the pond, which shined brightly in the moonlight. "This won't be easy for me to say," He began. "I don't really do sappy shit."
__"What?" Sonic tilted his head as his heart started racing. He had a feeling he knew what was about to happen.
__Scourge looked at Sonic and smiled. "I'm going to try my damn hardest, though."
__Sonic nodded. "It's all right. I believe in you."
__Scourge shook his head and brought up his knees to hug them to his chest. "I think I know what I want now."
__Sonic narrowed one eye as he flattened his ears. "It's only been about two days. Shouldn't you have given yourself more time?"
__Scourge rolled his eyes. "Not when I'm a Sonic," He pointed out. His eyes then softened as he continued to look at Sonic. "This is what Fiona told me," He leaned forward and grabbed Sonic's hand. "She wanted me to come out and say...I love you."
__Sonic kept his ears flattened as he leaned back a bit. "You're not messing with me, right? Are you only doing this because Fiona told you to?"
__Scourge didn't reply. Instead, he stood up and brought his face closer to Sonic's.
__"Scourge?" Sonic didn't dare move in fear he would do something wrong.
__Scourge just kept a big warm smile on his muzzle. "You were the only one there for me, even though I didn't want your help at first. You didn't give up on me," He brought up his free hand and gently placed it on Sonic's cheek. "All of that was put together when I nearly lost you. It took a bit of time, but I realized I can't live without you."
__Sonic's heart was beating faster. His whole body started to get warm. He wanted to cry, but he managed to hold it in. He closed his eyes and made a small grin. "Scourge..." He whispered.
__Scourge then moved his face closer and pressed his lips against Sonic's. Sonic perked his ears, surprised by how soft Scourge's lips were. It took a few seconds for Sonic to wrap his arms around Scourge and kiss back. He felt Scourge's arms wrap around him as he was pushed back a little. They continued to move their lips against each other's and rubbing the other's back for about a minute before Scourge pulled away. His eyes were glowing in excitement and joy.
__"I do love you," He said softly. "I'll always be there for you, just like you've been there for me."
__Sonic narrowed his eyes and his smile grew bigger. He stood up and hugged Scourge, resting the side of his face on his chest as Scourge hugged him back. "I love you, too," He whispered. He then looked up at Scourge and turned his happy smile into a smirk. "You're no longer sleeping on the couch."
__Scourge tittered as he rubbed his chin against sonic's head. "Yeah, I figured."
__Sonic chuckled and tightened his grip on Scourge, even though it started to hurt his throat and chest, but he didn't care. He was happy. The happiest he's ever been in a long time. He was finally with Scourge the way he had dreamed it would be. I guess dreams can come true. He thought happily.
__There was still a problem, though. Super Metal Sonic was still out there, probably looking for his next victim. But Sonic wasn't worried right now. He just wanted to stay in Scourge's embrace forever.
