Positives and Negatives {Sonourge}

TWENTY-EIGHT

__It was night and Sonic, Scourge, Tails, and Knuckles were all in the living room. Tails had gotten his computer and was looking through the cameras' live feed in the woods, checking for Super Metal Sonic. Knuckles had been trying to talk to Scourge, but Scourge was too uncomfortable and would only nod or shake his head. Sonic was standing by the window. Buck for some reason had come back and was staring back at Sonic right by the window. No one else had noticed the deer. Just Sonic.
__"Um...what exactly is the amount of money Sonic is paying the No Zoners?" Knuckles tried asking Scourge.
__Scourge had sighed and crossed his arms. "Five hundred thousand dollars," He muttered.
__"The hell!?"
__Sonic snickered as he watched Buck press his nose on the glass. Sonic started tapping the glass where Buck's nose was. "Don't you have anything better to do?" He muttered. "You got your own family."
__Buck's only type of reply was breathing heavily on the glass, creating and big fog on the window around his nose.
__Sonic felt a hand on his shoulder and jumped. He turned to see Scourge was standing next to him. He moved away and lightly shoved Scourge. "Don't do that!"
__Scourge just rolled his eyes and looked at Buck through the window. "He's back, huh?"
__Sonic nodded. "I don't know what he wants. He's just standing there."
__"I feel like I've said that before," Scourge muttered.
__"Is that the deer you were talking about, Sonic?" Knuckles asked.
__"Yeah!" Sonic replied. He then went to join Tails and Knuckles. "Any luck with the cameras?" His ears then twitched when the heard the back door open and close, but he continued to stare at the computer.
__"Not really," Tails responded in disappointment. "At least everyone in the city and our little town knows to stay away from the woods."
__"What about the animals?" Sonic asked. "What if they set off the traps?"
__"If they do, we'll set 'em free later," Tails replied. "But there's barely been any in the woods after people were being killed in there. It seems to be just that deer."
__"Where did Scourge go?" Knuckles interrupted.
__Sonic turned around and saw that Scourge and Buck were gone. "Aw fuck," He muttered. He went outside with Tails and Knuckles and they examined the woods.
__"What does he think he's doing!?" Tails blurted out.
__"Something stupid," Knuckles sneered.
__"He can't be out there by himself," Sonic said worriedly.
__"I'll fly over and look," Tails said. "You and Knuckles can search the ground."
__"Watch out for our traps," Knuckles warned.
__Sonic nodded and began running into the woods while Knuckles ran into a different part and Tails flew overhead. Sonic was too worried about accidentally setting off one of Knuckles' sinkholes, so he climbed up a tree and began jumping from branch to branch. Where did you go!? Why!? We have a plan! He continued to jump through the trees when he heard something. He stopped jumping and pressed himself against the tree he was at. He heard humming, but it had some static noises to it, like a T.V. He then held his breathe when Super Metal Sonic appeared out of nowhere underneath him. Oh shit.
__Super Metal Sonic was looking around at the ground. His metal claws were covered in fresh blood. He seemed to be excited. Two bright red beams of light shot from his eyes and scanned the ground around him. They stopped at a section of grass that had been stepped on before they disappeared. The robot went over and crouched down by the flattened grass and looked ahead of him. "More prey!" He cheered. He then turned invisible and ran away.
__Not if I can help it! Sonic started jumping through the trees again, this time using his super-speed to get ahead. He expected to find Scourge, but instead, he found Cream. He stopped and watched her in horror. What is she doing here!? Before he could call out her name, Metal Super Sonic appeared again and was slowly walking up to her.
__Cream looked at the robot. Her expression showed she was shocked, but not scared. "Father?" She asked in disbelief.
__Sonic flattened his ears. Cream was looking at an illusion. No, Cream!
__"Yes, it's me!" The robot said brightly as he held up his arms. "I missed you."
__Cream had hesitated before slowly walking over to the robot.
__Sonic grit his teeth and was about to jump forward when Buck leaped from behind the bushes and let out a loud shriek, making Cream stop to look at him. Scourge then hopped over the deer and tackled the robot, throwing him into the trees. Cream had whipped her head around and ran up to Scourge.
__"Don't hurt him!" She cried.
__Scourge turned to look at her and grabbed her shoulders. "Don't fall for it! It's a trap!"
__Super Metal Sonic then curled up into a ball and rammed himself into Scourge. When Scourge rolled over on the ground Cream took this time to run back to the deer. Scourge got up quickly when the robot was standing in front of him.
__"Why is everyone interfering!?" Super Metal Sonic yelled. "You can't stop me! I am smarter than all of you!"
__Scourge backed up as he raised his fists. "You killed my girlfriend!" He growled. "I wanna make sure you pay!"
__"Girlfriend?" The robot laughed and shook his head. "You mean that pretty fox lady? Oh, she was too gullible. She wouldn't have lasted in this world."
__Rage had filled Scourge's face as he charged at the robot. "Bastard!" He began punching, kicking, and using his homing attack on the robot. But the robot was only knocked back. No scratches nor dents were made on him.
__Sonic watched in horror as Scourge fought Super Metal Sonic. What kind of robot is this thing!? It's tougher than the actual Metal Sonic! Sonic wanted to jump down and help him, but something kept him from doing that. He watched Scourge nailing every hit on the robot, but Super Metal Sonic didn't seem phased by them at all. When the robot had distance from Scourge, he brought up his claws and struck Scourge's leg when he ran. Scourge let out a yell of agony as he fell down. 
__"You just don't get it," Super Metal Sonic said as he stood over Scourge. "I'm not a normal robot. I'm a cyborg. Unlike Metal Sonic, I have Sonic The Hedgehog's DNA in my system," Something then changed in his chest. It opened up and a purple ball of light started to shine. "I am the ultimate weapon."
__Sonic shivered as he watched the purple light. Plasma blaster!? He has plasma blasters!? That's it! Sonic snapped out of it and leaped forward. He tackled the cyborg and the plasma beam shot up in up in the air, turning some of the leaves black as it did. Sonic quickly brought up his leg and kicked Super Metal Sonic away from him. He then stood in front of Scourge protectingly and looked at Cream. "You all right, Cream?"
__Cream nodded but didn't say anything. She was hugging Buck tightly, but he didn't seem to mind.
__Sonic looked behind as Scourge sat up and grasped his bleeding leg with both hands. "Fuck! Fuck! FUCK!" He hissed.
__"It's okay, Scourge," Sonic assured him. "I got this!" He then looked back at Super Metal Sonic as he stood back up. "Cyborg with my DNA, huh? How did Eggman even get my DNA!?"
__The cyborg shook his head and glared at Sonic. "If I remember correctly, he sent small invisible robots into your house to steal fur from your hairbrush. But what does it matter now? I'm done with you interfering! You were supposed to bleed to death! Why are you still alive!? Even the medics shouldn't have been able to save you!"
__"The difference between me and all of your victims is I have harnessed Chaos Energy every time I use Chaos Control or turn Super," Sonic explained bitterly. He then smirked. "I thought since you possess my DNA you'd know that."
__Super Metal Sonic growled in anger before he sighed and giggled. "You really are a tough adversary. Now I see why Eggman tried so hard to perfect me."
__Sonic raised his fists and glared at him. "You're no different than any machine Eggman has created! Just like with them I'll smash you into bits easily!"
__That's when Super Metal Sonic wagged one of his big claws at Sonic. "You don't get it. I'm a cyborg. I'm not like any machine Eggman has created. He stated I was better than Neo Metal Sonic and Infinite. It won't be easy for you to smash me into bits."
__Sonic growled as he felt his legs itching in excitement. "Come at me then if you think you're so tough!"
__Super Metal Sonic leaned forward and smirked. "Fine. This time I'll make sure you die!" He then lunged at Sonic with his claws out and ready to strike.
