Positives and Negatives {Sonourge}

TWENTY-NINE

__Sonic curled up into a ball and used his homing attack to knock Super Metal Sonic back. Sonic made sure to stay away from Cream, Buck, and Scourge as he fought with the cyborg. He was able to dodge all of its attacks easily, but he was barely able to hit it. The cyborg would laugh maniacally each time he dodged Sonic's attacks, making him even more mad.
__It got to the point where Sonic was being too cocky now, and Super Metal Sonic noticed this. He opened his chest and fired his plasma beam when Sonic was right in front of him. Sonic screamed in pain as he was knocked back. He felt a burning sensation on his body and saw that his chest and stomach were covered in something black. The plasma beam barely missed Sonic's bandana.
__"I must say," Super Metal Sonic said as he slowly started walking over to Sonic. "You're not as tough as I anticipated. But I get it. You're not that teenage boy with that burning passion anymore. You're an adult who's been all alone, and you're sick of it."
__Sonic bared his teeth as he glared at the cyborg. "Shut up! You don't know me!"
__"Oh, but I do!" Super Metal Sonic laughed. "You've been abandoned by those people you cared about after growing up, especially by all your lovers." He then turned into Sally. His voice sounded exactly like her's as he continued to walk. "You were called a selfish being for following what you thought was right," He then turned into Fiona. "You were told you weren't fun enough and played hero too much," He then turned into Amy. "Even after finally developing feelings after someone grew up as well, it wasn't enough," He finally turned into Scourge and stopped right in front of Sonic. "You think now you can change how you see things and expect a different outcome. But do you really think this will last? He'll abandon you like everyone else."
__"NO!" Sonic shouted. "STOP IT!"
__Super Metal Sonic laughed as he leaned forward. "You can't escape this, Sonic. It was inevitable the day you grew into an adult." He turned back into himself and was ready to strike Sonic with his claws.
__"Don't you fucking dare!" Scourge forced himself to stand up and charged at Super Metal Sonic. He threw the cyborg far away on the ground and collapsed himself as he glared at it. "You don't get it!" He sneered. "No one has abandoned Sonic! He's not alone! He has me! He'll always have me! And I won't let you hurt him!"
__Sonic flattened his ears and felt his heart beating faster as he looked at Scourge. He couldn't believe his words. He felt like he was in a fairy tale and that any moment now he would wake up in reality. But this was reality. What Scourge said was true. Sonic wasn't alone. He felt his body trembling as he closed his eyes and smiled. "Scourge..."
__Super Metal Sonic stood up and glared at Scourge. "We'll see about that!" He took a step forward, but the ground collapsed beneath him and he fell in.
__Sonic managed to stand up and look down in the sinkhole. It was over sixteen feet deep and the cyborg was laying there, nearly buried in the dirt and gravel. Something then caught Sonic's eyes. There was something in between Super Metal Sonic's neck and right shoulder. A small red orb. A weak spot! Sonic cheered in his mind. Sonic ran back to Scourge and helped him stand. "He has a weak spot on his shoulder. I bet that'll help."
__Scourge nodded as he limped over to the hole. Sonic went to join him and looked down in the sinkhole. Both Sonic and Scourge looked down in horror when they didn't see the cyborg in the sinkhole.
__"Where did it...?" Sonic looked over at Cream and flattened his ears. Buck was lying behind her with his stomach bleeding out and Super Metal Sonic held his claws at Cream's neck. Sonic was about to run to her when the cyborg hissed.
__"Come any closer and I'll kill her, too!" He growled.
__Sonic stayed put and watched Cream's scared expression. He couldn't stand it. He knelt down on both knees placed his hands on the grass. "Okay! Okay! Let her go! Don't hurt her!"
__But Scourge ran towards them. Sonic yelled out at him but didn't move. Super Metal Sonic was about to strike Cream, but Scourge was too fast. He managed to grab Cream and take her back to Sonic in less than a second.
__Sonic immediately stood up and grabbed Scourge's shoulders. "What the hell is wrong with you!?"
__"I got her out of there," Scourge growled, but he was glaring at the cyborg. "I know what I'm doing." He then curled into a ball and used his homing attack again on Super Metal Sonic. Once again, he was only knocked back.
__"You just never learn, do you!?" Super Metal Sonic sneered. "You can't hurt me!"
__When Scourge untucked he smirked and held up a small red orb in his hand. "Are you sure about that?"
__"How did you!?" Super Metal Sonic went to feel his right shoulder as he stared at Scourge in horror. "No! S-stay away!" He began backing up.
__"Yeah, I don't think so. Here, Sonic!" Scourge tossed the red orb.
__Sonic caught the small orb and dropped it on the ground. "Oops," He then stomped on it, crushing it beneath his foot. "Wow! Aren't I clumsy?" He asked sarcastically.
__The cyborg screeched as it began to spaz out. "NO!" He was still standing, but it looked week. "You can't do this!"
__"You've had this coming for a long time," Scourge sneered as he began walking towards the cyborg. "You killed Fiona and attempted to kill Sonic! I don't think I've ever had this much anger towards anyone!" He then used another homing attack, this time making scratch marks against the cyborg's metal. Super Metal Sonic had skidded across the ground and it collapsed as well. Scourge had jumped down the sinkhole and continued to fight.
__Sonic held Cream's shoulder's as the sound of metal scratching and static screaming sounded from within the sinkhole. He couldn't help but look at Buck, who was now dead, surrounded by a pool of his own blood. Sonic flattened his ears and hugged Cream as Super Metal Sonic screamed one last time.
__"I WON'T BE THE LAST!!!"
__Then there was silence. Before Sonic could try to move, something was thrown out of the sinkhole. Super Metal Sonic's head. Cream let out a horrified scream and hid her face in Sonic's chest. Sonic started slowly rubbing the back of Cream's head as he watched Scourge struggle to climb out of the sinkhole. He was covered in black oil and his own blood, but he wasn't bleeding much.
__"Please tell me it's over!" Cream cried.
__Sonic pushed Cream back a bit and looked into her eyes. "It's over, baby. Don't worry."
__"He looked like my father!" Tears began pouring from her eyes.
__"I know, Cream," Sonic hugged her again. "But it wasn't real. Whatever it was, it's gone now." Sonic then pulled away from Cream and walked over to Buck. He knelt down and hesitated before putting his hand on him. "You poor deer. You were the smartest animal I met."
__Scourge slowly made his way and crouched down next to Sonic. "I'm sorry if I worried you. I went outside to see what he wanted and he began running in the woods, so I followed him."
__Sonic nodded and stood up. He turned around to look at Cream, who stopped crying. "What were you even doing here?"
__Cream crossed her arms and looked at the ground. "I had an argument with my mother. I just wanted space for a little bit."
__Tails then came flying in and Knuckles was running to them.
__Knuckles had stopped when he saw Super Metal Sonic's head on the ground. "Woah! What happened here?"
__Tails landed next to Cream and examined her. "Are you all right?"
__Sonic walked over to Knuckles and crossed his arms. "Not exactly what we planned, but Super Metal Sonic is no more."
__Tails had walked over to the dead deer and looked at Sonic with his eyes wide. "What happened!?"
__"Let's go back first," Sonic insisted. "I think we all need to rest."
