"A paranoid man makes paranoid plans."- Post Malone.
It was at 8pm when I woke up. I had slept on the couch without my conscience and I completely couldn't remember how I'd slept. The music was turned off by I don't know who yet and someone had covered me with some warm pink sheets.
I rubbed my eyes as I pulled up to sit on the couch. I was still feeling sleepy and tired and so I stood up on my feet and staggered lazily heading to my room. I idly raised my feet on the stairs with my eyes half closed struggling so much to see where I was and where I was heading to.
"Honey supper is ready."
Mom called from the dining table when she saw my lazy ass fighting to balance in the staircase.
Do I look like I'm hungry.?
"I'm more than okay Mom .I just need some rest" I smiled to get her convinced but she didn't look like she really was. I forced a steady posture and stepped harder on the stairs to get her convinced that I'm really okay.
"Later..bye. " Juliet finished her call when I entered the room.
"Aren't you having dinner?"
"Not really.. I'm full..and sorry for everything thou. I feel like such a bastard."
"Of course you are..it's okay love."
She said tickling my tiny cheeks. I smiled and she left for dinner. I promised her to get me awake since she'd asked if she would. I think she got something to tell me.
I changed to my blue glowing pyjamas and grabbed a novel to keep myself busy. Five minutes on my novel, someone knocked on my door. Who could it be.... of course Juli wouldn't knock.
"She's sleeping."
I shouted raising a brow to see if the knock would persist. The door flung open and Alvin came in. I thought he was mad at me with his own reasons.
"Hey." I balanced myself on one arm and gave him a want do you want look.
"I brought you something." He said looking at my disfigured face. A frown had built up on my face that I still found it hard to exclude it and rather smile. Anyway I considered it better that way.
I didn't say a word yet. He must be used to this. He shook his head and revealed the one hand that he had hid behind his back since he came in..he was holding a brown box that was sealed with a foil that wasn't that intact. I got this urge to wake up,move to where he was standing and unseal the box but I focused on my attitude instead.
"Come on...don't you wanna know what's inside?"
"Jeweleries?" I lifted one hand and cocked a brow waiting for him to assure me that that's exactly what's in the box. I was still having my novel in one hand and kept on pretending that I was reading when I wasn't.
"Huh nuuh...!"
"So what else could you bring me?"
He unsealed the box when it all started getting awkward and in there was a bottle of tequila. Really boy! Do I necessarily need this or you're kind of confusing me with someone.
"Look I thought you really needed this since I had a feeling that you're almost going insane and taking this will surely relax your god-damn mind."
He explained his miserable idea still holding it with one hand and illustrating with the other as if I was in some kind of a lecture room and it happens that I was the only student. I stared at his nervous being not able to say a word. Like seriously...okay not like I have never taken tequila before but....the hell not in my father's house. That was a gross idea. So what if I become extra oriented and make a lot of noise. Of course I couldn't but....
