When You Find Eri

Y/N's POV

I've been part of the Hassaikai for a few months now, and it's a lot better here than I thought. At first everyone here was kind of weary and cautious around me. Even though it took a while, everyone here warmed up to me eventually. Once I was given my plague mask (the one up top), it finally felt official. I'm an official Hassaikai member now.

I've learned a little bit about Overhaul as well. One: his name is Chisaki Kai, but he says that name is dead to him. Two: he's a HUGE germaphobe, Three: he HATES being touched, Four: he DESPISES quirks because he says they're a disease. Five: his quirk allows him to disassemble and reassemble anything. Six, and the most important: Eri

I was wondering around the headquarters when I stumbled upon a door I've never seen before. Curiosity got the best of me, so I slowly opened it.

I looked around the dark room when my eyes landed on a bed. More accurately, my eyes landed on the person occupying the bed.

There in the bed lies a little girl, six years old maybe, with light blue hair, ruby red eyes, and a little horn on her forehead. Bandages covered her arms and legs. She pulled her knees to her chest as if she were trying to protect herself. The look of fear that she had on her face broke my heart. I may be a villain, but I'm not heartless.

I slowly started making my way towards her bed and kneeled in front of it. I took off my mask and offered a kind smile to the little girl in an attempt to make her feel more comfortable.

"Hello there, what's your name?"

I spoke in a calm, soft voice, and I kept the smile on my face so I wouldn't startle her, which seemed to work. Her tense body started to relax, and she slowly unwrapped her arms from are her knees.

"My-my name's Eri. W-who are you? I've never seen you before."

I sat down criss cross on her bed and smiled.

"I'm Y/N. I just started here a few months ago."

I figured I'd go with my actual name because I'm sure if I told a six year old girl who's been locked in a dark room that my name was Reaper, I'd freak her out.

Eri soon tensed up again and started shaking.

"S-so are you here to take me to O-o-overhaul?

I smiled and started to softly ruffle her hair.

"No love, I'm not here to take you to Overhaul. I could stay here with you for a little while if you like." What can I say? I gotta soft spot for kids.

She relaxed again and looked at me with hopeful eyes. I swear if this kid gets any sweeter she'll give me cavities.

"You'll really stay with me?"

I gave her a closed eyed smile and nodded.

She cheered in happiness, crawled over to me and gave me a hug. I smiled for what felt like the one millionth time that day and returned her hug. She released the hug and jumped down from her bed and happily went over to a shelf that was pushed against the wall. She came bouncing back to me with a book in her hands and held it out to me.

I carefully take the book in my hands and look at Eri. "You want me to read to you, love?"

Eri nodded rapidly and gave me pleading eyes. "Please!"

I chuckled softly and ruffled her hair again. "Oh alright."

Eri let out a little cheer and happily placed herself in my lap. Her back rested against my chest as she snuggled closer to me. I pulled the thin blanket on her bed to cover our legs and circled my arms around her to hold the book in front of us.

The book was about a princess who got kidnapped by some bandits or something and a prince had to come save her. Honestly, I hated it, but Eri seemed to enjoy it so that's all that mattered to me. She would stop and ask me questions like: "why'd the bandits kidnap her?" or "what's a knight?"

As we were getting to the end of the story I felt Eri tense up in my lap. I stopped reading and looked down at her, but before I could say anything to Eri, the voice of the Yakuza leader ripped through the room.

"Reaper. What the hell do you think you're doing in here?"

That's how I met Eri, but now I'm hastily being led down the various hallways by Overhaul on the way to his office.

Once we got there he threw open the door so hard, I afraid it would fly right off the hinges. He walked behind his desk, but didn't sit down, and crossed his arms over his chest.

"Close the door." He said.

I flinched at his dark voice, and nervously did as I was told.

"Sit down."

I sat down in the chair in front of his desk, and gulped as his amber eyes pierced into my E/C ones. He placed his hands down on the sleek desk and leaned forward.

"Now tell me. How the hell did you get into Eri's room?"

His amber eyes held nothing but rage as he impatiently awaited for my answer. I gulped and spoke.

"W-well, I was wondering around so I could navigate the headquarters better...then I found found Eri's door, s-so I opened it."

He raised an eyebrow in suspension, and his voice dropped dangerously low.

"You mean to tell me...NO ONE was guarding that door?!"

I flinched at his anger infested voice filled my ears, and he harshly brought his hands down on his table overhauling it in the process. All I could do was tensely nod.

His knuckles started to turn white due to him clenching his fists so hard. He regained his composure, but I could easily tell that he was still very pissed off.

He made his way to the door, muttering something about 'getting rid of that sorry expendable.'

The opened the door, but not before turning back to me.

"You're free to go. Your main task is to take care of Eri. Do not fail me. If you do... well let's just say it would be a shame for someone like you to go to waste."

With that final comment he slammed the door behind him. His footsteps faded on the other side of the door, signaling that he was leaving.

I let out a breathe that I didn't know I was holding. I put a hand over my rapid beating heart to calm it down.

'It would be a shame for someone like you to go to waste.'

Someone like me? What the hell does he mean by that?

Another scenario finished! Sorry if there were any typos. Sorry that this one was more about Eri than Chisaki. But I figured since Eri is a key part to the Hassaikai, I should make a scenario for her. But don't worry, you will get your time with your manz in the the next one,I promise😁.
