"Aww, but I'm not ready to leave just yet."

A small, childlike pout rested upon your lips as Kai and yourself packed your bags. Playfully rolling his eyes, Kai zipped up his bag before turning back to you. With an unamused eyebrow raise, he watched as you finished packing your bags and crossed your arms.

"We can always return here, angel. No reason to pout over it."

Today was the day you both had to pack up and leave the cabin, heading back to work. Needless to say, you wanted to extend your stay in the luxurious cabin, but you needed to get back to work sooner or later. Though, you preferred later. Your pout never left as you grabbed your bag and went towards Kai, who had been waiting for you by the doorway.

Making your way out the bedroom and down the stairs, amber eyes trailed down to you.

"I assure you, I'll bring you back here in the near future, dearest angel of mine."

You puffed your cheeks before letting out an annoyed huff, hastily nodding.

"Fine."

Now making it to Kai's car, you tossed your bags in the backseat. As Kai backed out of the driveway, and started down the road, your phone sounded aloud. Letting out a curious hum, you pulled your phone out of your back pocket and sighed.

"Well, I guess it's a good thing we left today anyways."

The amber eyed male glancedover at you before looking back towards the road.

"How so?"

You let out another sigh before leaning back in the passenger seat.

"You and the rest of the Hassasikai have a meeting to attend to today. It's supposed to last for a while."

Kai let out a small groan before leaning back into the driver seat, one hand still steering the car.

"That nearly slipped my mind. How long is it supposed to last?"

You read the reminder and sweat dropped.

"Six hours. It starts at 2 and lasts until eight."

Kai let out a soft growl as he, begrudgingly, drove down the road.

"Just great."

Upon arriving back to the base, the amber eyed male's mood started growing sour. It was was clear that he had no interest in attending the meeting.

Getting out of the car, you both headed inside the base. Looking over at Kai, who had an irked expression on his face, you tilted your head.

"Do I have to attend the meeting today?"

Kai paused for moment before shaking his head.

"No. You'll be watching Eri while we're gone."

You mentally threw a celebration in your head, a smile plastered on your face.

You hadn't been able to spend much time with the little girl due to the hectic work schedule. The guilt had been eating you alive knowing that your were the girl's only positive influence in life, and you hadn't been spending time with her. Of course you did your nightly routine of reading her bedtime stories, but they were always cut short since you had to get to bed for work the next day.
