You always thought that the alarm clock was the absolute worst thing to wake up to.

The deafening, high pitched sound of that stupid machine abruptly pulling you out of your slumber. It was the same sound every morning, but you could never get used to the God forsaken thing. But now, you've found something much worse.

Cramps and blood.

The morning started like usual with Kai waking up before you, his amber eyes slowly made their grand reveal of the day. As he noticed he'd not only awoke before you, but also before the alarm. He reached over to turn it off, and a groan rumbled in his chest as he hastily rubbed the sleep from his eyes.

Hearing a groan coming from next to him, he glanced over. Your expression-which was usually peaceful when you were asleep-was contorted into one full of pain and discomfort. You were, however, still asleep, but it didn't seem like you were sleeping peacefully. A pillow was tightly held against your lower abdomen, your body folded into a fetal position as painlful whimpers left your lips.

With eyebrows furrowed in both confusion and concern, Kai reached over to gently shake your awake. As his eyes travelled further down your frame, he paused and let out a small sigh.

"Damn it..."

A small groan rumbled in his throat, taking note of the red, damp spot on the sheets and your shorts. He wasn't annoyed at you, for he knew this was something completely out of your control. Believe it or not, Kai knows your menstrual cycle by heart. Don't ask him that though because he'll definitely deny it. It just came early this month, so it caught him off guard.

Throwing the blankets off of him, Kai pushed himself up from his position on the mattress and made long strides towards your shared bathroom. After turning on the light, he couched down to open the cabinet below the sink. He dug around until his hands landed on the lavender scented candles.

After setting the candles on the counter, Kai went over to the bathtub. Turning the knobs, he let the water run until it reached the warm temperatures you adored the most. He placed the stopper inside, letting the bathtub fill while he turned around to find the matches inside the cabinet. Striking the matches against the box, set the flames on each of the candlewick.

Next, he took your (favorite scent) bubble soap and mixed it into the running water. After waiting for the correct amount of bubbles to form, he turned the water off.

Last, but not least, he took the bag of over the counter pain relievers. With bottles of Excedrin, Tylenol, and a box of Goody Powders Kai made sure he had a full bottle-or box-of each type of medication.

Making his way to the doorway he flicked the lights off and turned around to see his handy work.
