Important Note: This DOES NOT tie into the actual story line of the scenarios! I just decided that this would be fun to do! Also, in this particular chapter, Pops is around so the Shie Hassaikai isn't really a villainous group!

"Do we really have to do this?"

You stuck your tongue out at the masked man who'd been looking at you from across the room, his arms crossed over his chest with an eyebrow lifted.

"Of course we do! It's an important ritual this time of year!"

Kai shook his head.

"It's not a ritual. They're decorations."

You had a variety of different sized cardboard boxes placed about the floor. You happily sat in the floor in the middle of the horde of boxes, playing around with the lights and ornaments.

"Ah don't be such a Scrooge, boy! (Your Name) is just trying to have fun and be festive!"

Pops emerged from the kitchen, a platter full of cookies and mugs of hot chocolate in tow. Waltzing over to you, the elder set the tray down on the coffee table. He gave you a smile and ruffled your hair.

"Don't mind him, (Your Name). It's nice to have you decorating the house."

You smiled back at him as you picked up one of the warm mugs of hot chocolate, letting out a happy hum as the liquid warmed your stomach.

"Thank you, Pops! I've always wanted to decorate for Christmas, but I never could."

The elder gave you a puzzled look.

"Oh? Why not?"

You got out the Christmas lights that were wrapped up in a neat, reef shape and placed on your head like a crown.

"We never had the money to buy them, so on Christmas Eve night my parents and I would go walk through one of the neighborhoods and look at all the lights people set on their houses. It was one of my favorite things to do growing up, and I always wanted to decorate for the holidays!"

Pops nodded in understanding before looking over to your disgruntled lover. As you happily rummaged through some more of the Christmas decorations, the elder went over Kai.

"Go decorate with her, boy."

The brunette male lifted an eyebrow at his elder, his face covered with amusement.

"And why, pray tell, would I even think about doing that?"

Pops crossed his arms over his chest and gave Kai a stern look.

"It's the little moments like this that you remember, Kai. Look at how happy she is." He trailed his amber eyes over to you, following the elder's directions. His eyes softened as he kept his gaze on you. The brightness in your eyes rivaled that of the Christmas lights, and your smile was bright, that the vibrant ornaments seemed to have lost their color.

Pops' voice brought Kai's attention back to him.

"She loves you to death, Kai. Just imagine how much happier she'll be doing this with you."

After patting his shoulder, Pops went back into the kitchen, leaving you two alone in the living room full of boxes.

Heaving out a sigh, Kai pushed himself off the wall and made his way toward you. Hearing the footsteps coming towards your direction, you looked towards the source of the sound and smiled once you saw who it was.
