Ben had grown to enjoy Rey's company, and although many looked at him oddly whenever he talked to her, he found solace in a friend who did not know about his family or his legacy.
She became his constant companion: during council meetings, flying practice or lightsaber exercises.
After several weeks Rey asked Ben how she could become a Jedi.
"Well I trained under my Uncle Luke before becoming my mother's Padawan." Rey's face fell.
"I don't know when my family is coming back. I guess I can't become a great Jedi like you."
"It does not have to be your family who trains you in the ways of the force. If you want to I can train you."
"Ok."
Rey began to copy Ben during his force training. Although she only had a spare price of pipe instead of a lightsaber she started to grow as a warrior. "Ben. When will I get a lightsaber like yours?"
"Well, I built mine when I was not much older than you but, I would have to meet you in person to give you your Khyber Crystal."
"But you're here, aren't you?"
"Sadly, although we can see each other, to give you what you need I will need to meet you in person. What planet are you on?"
"Jakku."
