Leia could not believe that she had told Han. She should have know he would do something reckless. She hadn't seen Ben this happy in years but he expected more from himself that anyone ever should. Leia wished Ben didn't feel the need to keep his relationship with Rey a secret. She would wait until he had the confidence to tell her.
Ben burning with embarrassment. He hardly heard what his father was saying. If only they had been more careful, if only he had been a better Jedi, if only he never told her he loved her.
"Leia said she'll see you in the briefing room in an hour if you want to take the mission." Han stood up and walked towards the door. "And just so you know I won't tell anyone if you don't want me to." Ben breathed a sigh of relief.
"Thank you." Han nodded and left the room. "What am I doing? I want to spend my life with you but I don't want to let everyone else down. Everyone expects me to be perfect: the perfect Skywalker, the perfect pilot, the perfect Jedi!" Ben yelled. He sighed, defeated. "I'm tired of everyone expecting me to be something."
"Ben, you are amazing. You shouldn't worry about what everyone else thinks."
"Thanks, I love you." He smiled and kissed her.
"I know."
