The whispers started not too soon after.
"It's all your fault."
"You could have saved them."
"You are weak."
Rey told no one about what was happening, she didn't want anyone to worry. She continue to lie to herself that it was nothing.
Then one night everything fell into place. The dream stared out the same but then everything became clearer, it was the Resistance who was dying. She saw Ben writhing in agony, electricity pulsing through his body. Rey screamed but no sound came.
"This is your doing, but you can change it. Claim you birthright, come home to me."
Rey awoke with a start. Ben stirred, she looked down at him. She could not loose him, not like her parents. She would never be alone ever again.
She crept over to her room and began to pack; the whispers telling her what to do and where to go. She gave the room one last look to ensure she had everything. Her eyes on her little pilot doll she remembered finding it on the Falcon when she was younger, it seemed to be another testament to her bond with Ben.
"I'll save you. I promise." And with that she fled the base.
