Rey loved her new friend. He had appeared about a month ago and although he tried his best to ignore her she enjoyed the company.
Ben had started to see the phantom girl not long after the dreams started. He tried to ignore them and continue on the path his ancestors had set.
"Hello there." He continued his lightsaber exercises as if she wasn't there. "I know you can see me." She was nothing, just an illusion of the dark side, and he would not make that mistake again.
Leia was worried about her son, she had believed that when he started to learn the force from her he would be able to choose the path of light but, he had been distant recently. Out of pure desperation she called on her father's ghost. He told her that Ben needed to stop hiding from the gift the force had given him. 'It is not the dark side that calls to him but something else entirely.'
"What do you mean I've been distracted? I am committed to becoming a Jedi and making you and Uncle Luke proud." But there she was, the phantom girl. Ben continued to ignore her but of course Leia knew there was something wrong.
"Ben please, I don't care what's going on I just want to help you."
"Please don't leave me alone. I know you can see me. I just don't want to be alone." And with that little girls words Ben told his mother about the the little girl only he could see.
