Ben wandered the base unsure of what to do next. He had left the Jedi Order and cut himself off from most of the Force. When he had left he had been demoted to commander, but he didn't care. Ben felt like a ghost; wandering the base remembering things that no longer were.
He often sat outside waiting for his next mission. The sunlight seemed less warm without her by his side. He missed Rey with every fiber of his being, but he felt as if there was nothing he could do.
Leia hated seeing Ben like this; she reached out asking those who came before her what she should do. Luke came to her and consoled her.
"You have done what you thought was best, but this is Ben's problem not yours. He has closed himself off from us . If he only listened, them we may be able to help him."
As Ben listened to what his mother had learned from the long gone Jedi, he realized she was right. He was afraid. He was scared that if he went too far he would also fall to the dark side. But those fears were no longer true. Ben had grown so much since the time he nearly ran away. He needed to face his fears and bring Rey home.
