For several months they hid their relationship, they taught future Jedi and fought with the Resistance to continue to fight the First Order. They carried with them a near constant regret, they never wanted their love to be a secret, but the galaxy needed the values of the Jedi to stay aloft.
Almost every night they would go out and look at the stars. In most briefings they would hold each other's hands from across the room. They often would sneak into the other's room and talk for hours; it was during one of those times that everything changed.
It was knocking on Ben's door that pulled him and Rey out of a kiss. They could both sense that it was Han outside the door. Rey rushed to and hid in his closet as Ben pulled out his calligraphy set. As Han entered the room was deathly silent, he sat down and looked at Ben as if he was about to tell him some thing important. He chuckled.
"Why don't you tell Rey to come out. I think this is something she would be interested to hear."
