Some how it was all coming together. They had put together a false mission that would give them time for a brief honeymoon, and Han had weaseled his way into officiating the ceremony.
As Rey boarded the Falcon she was filled with giddy energy. She had loved Ben from the moment they'd met and in a few short hours they were going to be married. When she entered her cabin she saw a passel laid out on the bed. She opened the note.
I know there's very little we can do to make today special, but I though this might help.
Rey opened the package to see a silk gown that faded from yellow to pink to violet.
This is one of my grandmother's gowns and although it's not what she wore to her wedding I hope it will make today feel special.
She smiled. Today was going to be perfect.
Ben couldn't help but worry about everything that could go wrong. Thousands of what ifs flew through his head. No. This was something he was sure of, come what may.
Ben gasped as Rey walked into the main hold. She had her hair partially up in a bun; He couldn't believe that somehow she had become more beautiful.
"Rey. When I first met you, you were the only thing I could see. Now in this moment you are the only thing I ever to see. I love you more that life itself." A single tear slid down her cheek.
"Ben Solo. You are my hero, I have been in love with you for as long as I can remember. I can't imagine my life without you."
After the ceremony Han called Leia.
"I don't know why you decided not to come. You wanted to be here so badly."
"I know. But Ben shouldn't be forced into that." Leia's holo sputtered then became clearer. "He should feel free make his own choices; he puts too much pressure on himself."
"You're right." Han sighed. "I just wish you could have been here. I took a few holos for you while the weren't looking." He pressed a button and sent them to her.
She looked down at her data-pad and smiled."Thank you Han."
