Ben couldn't help but think of everything that had happened; "I want to spend my life with you". Did he truly mean that? It was hardly a question, yes. He wanted to get to share every moment with her, and live the rest of his life by her side. Somehow he was going to marry her.
As Rey walked into her room she was surprised to see Ben sitting on her bed fighting with something anxiously. As she closed the door he jumped to his feet slightly startled. She smiled at him, her confusion visible. Ben's face lit up with blush. "Rey. all my life I've lived with expecting me to be some one, but from the moment I met you you never expected anything. With you, I am exactly where I want to be and I know exactly who I'm supposed to be." Rey wiped tears from her eyes as Ben got down on one knee. "I love you with everything I have. Will you marry me?" "Yes." As he slipped the ring onto her finger, holding together three pearls were some of the scraps left over from when she built her light saber. She gasped softly. "I know the we'll have to hide them" He opened his palm to reveal a lug nut that had been drilled through the middle. "but I can't help being sentimental." He smiled as Rey pulled him into a kiss.

I blushed so hard when writing this chapter. I am highly inspired by the prequels and I always knew this would be the trajectory of their relationship. I can't wait to write the wedding!!!
